Starting listening from 7:30, when she sings "in time" it's her 2003 voice, but when she goes to "you'll find the way... and then a hero comes along" it's her 90s voice. Then it makes a harsh and noticeable shift back to her 2003 voice "with the strength to carry on"

Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge Mariah fan, and all my friends know that fact. But because I'm such a huge fan, and I know everything there is to know about her, and I'm obsessed with the smallest details about her--I can say that she switched between live vocals and lip-synced in Hero and also lip synced all of the climax of my saving grace. If you listen closely to 7:40 for example, it's her 90s voice then it switches back to live.

benj0924: I'm also a singer and I don't think this is lipped at all. Either she is phenomenal at lip-syncing or the entire thing is live or the entire thing is lipped. It is extremely hard to just grab the right note out of thin air and most professionals cannot do that. She would be forced to do that if she were stopping in the middle of a phrase and it would be harder to lip that way than to just sing the song.
