Wow this is cool. I remember as a kid watching Bonanza reruns on weekday afternoons in the 70s. This is is one of the best shows in television history with some of the best actors in television history, in my opinion. Too bad TV can't have stuff like this anymore. The reality TV stuff has turned me off to the point I only watch a few shows nowadays.

him back on some show back in time where

he like was singing like telling a story, as

I have saw this on TV back when he did this. I am surprise you found this one, for he didn't sing but a few times on any shows he was on. On a few shows he had done some comedy with the host that was about as many times he song...not many. Mostly he appear and and talk about his show and the others in what fun stuff.

This was great though not like what the song should be but hey Lorne Green can sing it any way he wants. Seeing this reminded me of way back when I was a younger watching Bonanza each week with my family. Hell or high water didn't come first when this show was on and taking was during commericals.

Terrific, little-heard vocal version of an all-time television classic theme! Folks today can't appreciate just what a mega-hit Bonanza was in it's day, and that goes for the theme song as well. Nelson Riddle, Frank Chacksfield, Al Caiola, Billy Strange, Felix Slatkin, Pete Rugolo, and Neal Hefti (just to name just a few) all had cover versions of this song. Bonanza is truly part of American culture!
