  • As a personal injury trial lawyer myself I'd love to meet Jeff Rasansky. He comes across as genuine and a attorney that cares

  • @franklinms22

they originally found them 25% responsible for the incident, which was later lowered.

  • There was no reason to keep the coffee 60 degrees hotter than normal. Coffee that causes 3rd degree burns all over your lap is excessively hot.

  • I heard the litigant was handling the coffee in a negligent way. Any normal person when picking up a HOT liquid does not place it between their legs as the litigant did. If this is true then Temp of the coffee is moot. It may have been too hot to consume but handling it in a negligent way is just bad.

  • @FullArius I heard that the trip to the Moon was all staged in a sound stage in California. So it must be true.

  • @FullArius at 187 degrees, the styrofoam cup starts to melt and the structure becomes unstable (it collapses)

So if you squeezed the cup just a little too tight it would collapse on you and give you third degree burns in about three seconds. There is then the liability with McDonald's to properly warn the consumer that the cup they are holding may collapse due to structural failure
