Heliopolis is a real place in Egypt, but the name is Greek. I think Alexander probably renamed it in Greek but it was a center of Ra worship. It's one of Egypt's, and hence the world's, oldest cities.

You'll see a little map in the video which shows that the 3 sisters of Sister Salad are all in different towns. Lizz is in Heliopolis, Alexandra is in Rainbow, and Invisisis is in St. Nathaniel.

Very fun! This song reminds me of Friends by Gentle Giant from Giant for a Day - acoustic, but has similar energy and orbits similar chords, I think, albeit with a higher degree of ostinato. Not sure. I also recall it having a guitar counter-melody punctuating the texture as in Heliopolis. The backwards video spouky hiar bit is subtle, but very awesome. Also, I liked the air guitar montage, and especially the eyeball hand technique detail solo by Invisisis. Lots of great editing!

Yes - reminds me of Friends tonally-energetically-metaphor­ically, even though Friends is acoustic. Friends is arguably less progressive than other GG songs. But, to your point, I wouldn't dispute the more obvious '80s-'90s rocker parallel, or even the fact that my association is obscure. Friends was the first thing I jumped to - maybe because of the great friendships illustrated by SS & fam., or because the video is their YT journey woven into a digital tapestry of fun and serendipity.

I enjoyed the video and I thought the music was catchy and the editing was sharp. Liz definitely showed some moves on the air guitar which I hadn't seen before. It was ironic that the lyrics about "the only planet in cyberspace where they can spell defenestrating" coincided with a misspelling of that word, especially in light of your landmark music video deploring such mistakes. All in all a nice tribute to the salad sisters. LD
