Alice Waters is the definition of a "Limousine Liberal". She thinks everyone can afford expensive food like she can, has plenty of free time to cook slowly like she can, and can grow food year-round like she can.
Irony is that her precious garden would be a desert had it not been for all that water that is piped in from Colorado. That's not exactly "buying local" now, is it?
I prefer to eat fresh too, but Alice thinks everyone is as lucky as she is. She is MOCKING us with her wealth!

mmm yeah must be really good... very fresh, very organic and very expensive.... that's what it takes to be healthy in this country hmmm unfortunately this place will leave me hungry and broke....

She brags (yes, brags) that her food is all bought from local farmers markets, but I've got to ask you all one thing.
Would you buy a TV from some stranger operating out of the back of their pickup?
If the answer is "no", then WHY would you want to put something in your mouth that you bought from some stranger operating out of the back of their pickup?

My favorite restaurant in the world. I thought the video was very cheery. But it's much brighter in there usually than it looks on the video, so you could barely see the mission-style decor.
