  • yay for awesome cops!

  • If you like to mock Scientology, you will enjoy this article, Don't worry it's pure satire on Free Wood Post. YouTube doesn't allow the posting of links, but you can find it by searching:

  • God Bless this Patriotic Constitution following Police Officer!!! A true servant of Liberty

  • Hoodie sent me here

  • That's a very nice officer

  • This guy is AWESOME compared to what im used to seeing lately online!!!

  • what a caring human being (Y)

  • GGC

  • I'd like to point out that the UC Davis pepper spray cop quietly asked the protestors to leave and warned them of the consequences, and spent several minutes shaking up the spray, making it very clear what was going to happen if they didn't disperse.

Funny how the videos tend to cut that part out, along with the crowd and protestors chanting "Fuck the police!" and other things at the cops, trying to intimidate them.

  • Good cops unite!

Those that hate "pigs" "pork" "po-po" are usually scumbags who have got in trouble with them OR descendants of scumbags.

  • @TigerMilitia Or are people trying to rationalize the fact that they may have done something wrong.

Seriously, I have never seen an Occupier go "Well, the cops did use pepper spray, but there is a chance we were breaking the law," even after throwing rocks at the 5-0. They often like to pretend they could never have done anything wrong.

  • He seems cool

  • god i love black cops

  • @ThomasStillbranch I prefer modern warfare

  • Excellent attitude.

  • this video needs moar pepper spray

  • @MajorZeuz I think you need moar pepper spray.

  • @jmabee23 I personally know cops like this... it is an act. Good cop/bad cop routine. They take courses in psychology so they can know how to make people behave how they want. This cop isn't "a good one", he's just playing that role this time.

  • @Grimtheorist I note how your post doesn't even acknowledge the possibility he's sincere and just a nice guy. It's just absolutes for As far as you're concerned, him and every cop like him is a liar, no exceptions.

  • @EGRJ Yeah, because in the kind of training that they receive, sincerity matters not. He was keeping the crowd calm, nothing more. If he wasn't there, another cop would've been told to do this.

I still don't get what about this makes him a 'good cop' anyways. Is it because he's letting them exercise their legal rights to be there? Is it because he might not want anyone to get hit by a car? Or because he praises America? Pretty standard human being stuff there nothing special about it.

  • @Grimtheorist Assuming, for the sake of argument, sincerity is irrelevant, what prevents him from being sincere? And now you're getting into baseless speculation about what "would've happened" otherwise. You just want to confirm your prejudice, as indicated by a an inability, once again, to even acknowledge the possibility that this one cop at least is a sincerely nice guy.

  • @EGRJ I guess nothing prevents him from really not wanting someone to get ran over... I'm just saying that I know a lot of cops, and I've seen them act exactly like this. They are the same ones that turn around and say and do terribly hateful and mean things just because they can. In my experience, the "nice cops" don't make it very long. They get turned to the dark side pretty quick. Its part of the job. Can't have softies tryin' to bring down potential murderers and violent criminals.

  • @EGRJ Now its your turn to acknowledge the possibility that he's only trying to keep the crowd calm and corralled, and will say whatever he has to (which he has been trained to do) in order to do so. Otherwise, you will just be confirming your prejudice, as indicated by an inability to blah blah blah....

  • @Grimtheorist Okay. There is the possibility that he is lying to keep the crowd corralled. However, I do not believe his is. I believe he is sincere. I admit and acknowledge that I have no way to prove or disprove this, and may well be incorrect in said belief.

I've noticed that even when going "NO U" you still didn't say "he could be sincere, but I don't think so", just that "'nothing is preventing him' from being sincere".

  • @EGRJ I think you miss the point. I'm not say he's lying. I'm saying he is paying lip service to these people. Does he really think they are gonna jump the barrier and run out into traffic? They'd have to get past his cop buddies too. The things he is saying does not make him a "nice guy". Keep the sidewalks clear, you have the right to protest and there is nothing I can do to stop you so you should enjoy it, don't run into the street, America is great.

This somehow makes most cops awesome..

  • @jmabee23 In my experience, most cops abuse their power in some way or another. When they do, they almost never get punished for their crimes. Most of the time, they get a two-week vacation when they get caught doing something wrong.

  • @ChurchillMods There are over 600,000 cops in the US. You have personal experience with over 300,000 cops?

  • @EGRJ Don't be an ass....

  • @ChurchillMods You said "most cops". That would indicate a majority of cops. Unless "your experience" covers half a million cops in the US alone, I doubt it's a valid sample.

  • @EGRJ Fuck you, cop-sucker. Go ahead and defend these scumbags all you want. The fact is that most people on this planet can't stand pigs like you (and for a damn-good reason). Cops are cowards with guns. They do what they do because it gives power and meaning to their otherwise pathetic existence. When I say "most cops", I mean most cops I've dealt with. No one is impressed with your petty, nit-picking bullshit responses. Now fuck off and go blow another cop.

  • @ChurchillMods And your cloak of maturity and reason falls, leaving exposed the core of hatred, irrationality, and prejudice, and the desire to insult anyone who questions any of those.

I think that means I win.

  • bravo offica

  • This guy is rad. Why isn't he getting mainstream media time?

  • @Zilch79 Because they're largely sympathetic to Occupy, and like them, are heavily invested in the idea of the 5-0 being jackbooted thugs.

  • @Skyler310 Thank you. Glad there are some intelligent people around here...

  • and thats why it says sergeant on his badge

  • Good Guy Gr-... Cop

  • @Gracelyassa - for your information

  • @GMTDev ah thank you

  • then of course there are "protesters" who don't give a rats pink ass about this guy.

  • @Skyler310 was going to say the same thing. i wouldn't say most, though definitely more then half. and then half of the other less then half are just rude but say the same thing. the other half of the less then half are serious asses. but the same can be said about any population of anyone.

  • =DDDDDD

  • Finally, a video that doesn't shows a cop pepper spraying a protester.

  • This gentleman needs to be encouraged to procreate furiously. Then encourage his children to go into public service. Ladies help him out.

  • @Skyler310 I thought the 1 out of 10000 that makes it to the internet represented the entire 10000. Isn't that how it works now?

  • :)

  • Im not from the states but if i was i would be DAMN proud of this officer!!

  • this guy should get a medal! he cares more about safety vs using the power of his status to belittle others.

  • this video made me teary eyed.

  • @Skyler310 No, this is a handful of cops. There are a handful of good, and a handful of bad ones. The problem is, the bad ones do way more damage than the good ones compensate for.

But the really bad part is all of the police in between. They see the evil around them and do nothing about it, which makes them guilty by association. If people in your department are abusing their power, and you do nothing to stop them, you too are abusing your power.

  • Comment removed

  • He is the 99%. Seriously, a vast majority of police officers are like this. Only the asshole ones get famous though, which sucks. Thank you for posting this, im glad people are getting to see that not all cops are bad.

  • @deathtopopstars I disagree.. Cops that let bad cops keep their jobs are BAD cops.. I don't give a shit how nice they are.. The police captain of UC davis AGREES with the actions taken on the campus.. SO fuck your good cop theory. THEY ARE ALL ROTTEN

  • @vegovega69 The police captain of UC davis is not all cops.

  • @deathtopopstars

Not all cops are bad, but sadly most are, that goes for most professions though too. It is rare to find someone like that in this world that is passionate about what they do, but it is beautiful to see.

  • This is beautiful

  • @Skyler310 Negative.

  • @519Doobz Niggative. FTFY

  • Its almost like cops aren't all mad with power

  • Like a boss.

  • What a wonderful guy.

  • Extremely professional

  • I'll debate "the greatest country in the world part" but I guess we must now give credit to reasonable people.

Yes, our standards have dropped. All you need is to be reasonable in order to gain praise.

  • @nickzcrowez stfu or gtfo then...got damn always something negative to say...

  • Good Guy Cop

  • A cop being a good guy and doing his job, what a great idea - THEY SHOULD ALL DO THAT!

  • @Skyler310 Exactly. Most cops do care and want to help, but they get stuck in very shitty situations. What do they do when a fellow cop crosses the line?? Attack him and risk a riot? Its touchy :(

  • Protestors are so impressed by this cop, that they are instantly agreeing with him :)

  • @MrShooga I think its that classic "treat people how you want to be treated" he shows them respect - they reciprocate.

  • @ZuluSmasher Yeah I would react in the same way, I just think it's a bit funny :)

  • You know, people complain about the media only interviewing drunk idiots, homeless people, and hippies, but they don't realize that the videos that make it to the internet of police brutality are the EXACT same thing.

The police and the protestors, just like countries, and ethnic groups, and schools, and cities, ALL have a few bad seeds within them. So when you see a black person mugging people, or an officer using pepper spray, just try to remember that he/she doesn't represent his/her group.

  • We should find out his name, and call in to report great job. it would be a welcome change to the calls the normally get and might foster some more good will.

  • very heartening to see a good guy getting noticed. Keep up the good work!

  • @Skyler310 Exactly why would anybody put a video on internet of them actually being nice/doing their job correctly.

  • @Skyler310 Oh hardly.

  • too few of these! we need more of these men!

  • This makes me proud to be from LA.

  • @XenemyXwithinX How about the Rodney King incident?

  • Comment removed

  • @Skyler310 Your'e right, but the ones that make You Tube are sooooooooo bad...It takes up most of the public opinion.

  • This was exactly the way you want the police to handle a situation. This man did his job perfectly and he makes me proud to be an American and know we have right and we have people willing to risk their life to protect us. Good for you sir!

  • Hey NYPD/Oakland PD/Seattle PD, THIS is how you handle protestors. Ironic that it's the LAPD through right?

  • @Skyler310 THANK YOU

  • Faith in humanity!

  • Normal nice guy cop.......

  • So that's where Dixon of Dock Green went to.

  • @lootplx Aliens.

  • Comment removed

  • imagine he gets fired for making other cops look bad

  • A cop to be respected.

  • People are completely brainwashed by sensational media coverage.

Police are like this more often than not. It's just that people usually have no desire to pull out their camera and film it when the cop isn't misbehaving. This creates the illusion that the videos that show cops doing stupid shit is the status quo for cops in real life.

  • USA is not the greatest country in the world, if we were all like the average american, the world would be fucked.

  • @irishbboy You only think that because you've been spoonfed a completely unrealistically negative depiction of what the average American is.

  • @irishbboy If the world were like Ireland, nothing would ever be invented, and everyone would just be a potato-munching alcoholic who likes bare knuckle boxing and shagging sheep.

    Fun.

  • @MercenarySlick Wow nice stereo typing there btw some irish inventions include but are not exclusive modern chemistry, hollow needles, induction coils, seismology, stethoscope, submarine, radio therepay, kelvin scale,nickel-zinc battery, the first disintegration of an atomic nucleus, portable defribrillator, catalytic converter.

I would say not bad for some sheep shaggers right this isnt even mentioning btw what irish immigrants have acomplished in America.

  • @MrSkullcrazy21 The funny thing is that several of the things you just listed were actually invented by Americans.

And by the way, I wasn't seriously listing Irish stereotypes as if I believed them. I was giving someone a taste of their own medicine for believing false stereotypes about Americans.

  • @MercenarySlick I actually thought that was hilarious. We enjoy taking the mickey out of ourselves

  • @irishbboy Your country is a shithole compared to the U.S.A.

  • @irishbboy Itsmaybe not the greatest but its far from the worse i can respect that the americans are coming up for there rights in a non violent matter and wish them all the luck i have respect for all non violent protesters and believe that if a average human being was respectfull to others while sending a message against any injustice in a non violent way then i believe we would be better of unfortunately thats just a dream.

  • This is the part 1 minute before the protesters ignore him, refuse to move and then link arms and lay on the ground so they force a confrontation.

  • @Academy2012SL If you are referring to the OWS people who do that. the key point you seem to happily miss is those police are trying to make them move from a place THAT THEY DON'T HAVE TO MOVE FROM.

  • He is actually... doing his job!?

  • aint it sad we cheer something that should be completely normal? too much violence these days...

  • He deserves an award.

  • A cop with logic and humanity, what is this?

  • Great cop.

  • Its important that cops doing a good job get just as much recognition as those doing a bad job.

  • Don't hate on him for saying its the greatest country in the world. He's just showing pride in his country that he's serving to protect. It's just the same as being on some sports team and saying the exact same thing about your team. Can't blame the guy for loving his country instead of pepper spraying it.

  • @washedsurf we are the greatest country in the world, please prove me wrong...and if you dont like it and you live her please gtfo

  • @TiberiusArms15 You my kind sir need to read my comment more clearly. Why the hate?

  • Thank you for actually putting something positive up.

  • This guy must get into politics. He managed to put in America, the greatest country in the word in a sentence where it was absolutely unnecessary. Well done you, sir.

  • @rao76 9/11

  • Need more cops like this

  • seems like a stand up guy, good heart, good cop.

  • See, their not ALL assholes,..just the select few

  • @iggy35 This video doesn't prove that, it can also be that just a select few aren't assholes.

  • A good American cop?

    Fake!

  • i would love to hang out with this dude

  • I liked the part where he didn't pepper spray anyone.

  • That cop's a scientologist.

  • And right after the video wrapped he began pepper spraying people while calmly asking a woman to be mindful of the barricades, they're there for her safety

  • is dis nigga fo real?

  • I hope you like Reddit raids

  • I wish there were more of these.

  • Redditors are here in effect....note the large amounts of up or down votes.

  • greatest country in the world? LOL.

  • @devilMiro umad?

  • @men1kmati If somebody claimed that they were superman, when clearly they were not, would you be mad? No, like me, you would probably feel sorry for them. I would be mad if all i could use was recycled internet soundbites because I too stupid to make up my own though.

  • @devilMiro yea umad lol.

  • You've all been dooped. He walked right up to the camera and said that.

  • Also, why is being good related to being white?

  • THIS GUY .... Obviously learned his policing in Great Britain.

  • @TheRumpoKid Get over yourself... try not to be a stuck up Englishman and embrace the patriotism of others

  • ''Greatest country in the world.'' > Instant dislike.

  • fuck this guy is actually trying to serve and protect

  • @10phoenix01 He is the 1%.

  • 527 UC davis police officers watched this

  • Hugs

  • good guy greg

  • First time i've ever seen good police conduct. Make him police chief

  • "....greatest country in the world"? no?

  • Sounds like a peace officer.

  • "The Policeman's Guide How Not To Piss Off An Entire Nation"

Step 1: Be polite and respectful

Step 2: Refrain from casually pepper-spraying everyone

    This guy wins!

  • This is how you police protesters, not spraying kids with pepper spray.

  • this guy is a fucking boss

  • Hero cop.

  • i wonder what he would have said if he didnt see the camera and walk right up to the guy

  • @cakes37 Well to be fair, a whole lot of cops have seen cameras and still maced and beaten protesters.

  • @seanmassie16 Iraq

  • Love the hypocrisy of the top voted comments. You're just bringing more attention to the race thing by bringing it up.

  • @nVViciousWolf as are you..

  • @nVViciousWolf and so are you, RACE-CEPTION

  • @dereknelson66 Unfortunately, you've guessed incorrectly. The opinions I expressed are fundamentally the product of what I've seen at the Occupy protests I've attended in two different major cities. I will be back in Manhattan in mid-December, and I intend to make my way to OWS once more to see what's changed, if anything.

  • FUCK YEAH!

  • But US is not the greatest country in the world

  • @dugussett silly policeman

  • @dugussett Then who is?

  • @dugussett If you dun like 'Murrica, then you can just GEEEET OUT.

  • Other cops,

Y U NO LIKE THIS GUY?

  • Comment removed

  • By acting white, do you mean "intelligently?"

  • we should never forget that good cops vastly out number bad cops. regular citizens and good cops should unite against bad cops.

  • @rolfalmao I'd offer a slight correction, and say, "The cops who are just trying to work their job, shift to shift, day to day, greatly outnumber the 'good cops' and the 'bad cops.' "

"Cops" are just like anyone else -- "people." They are individuals who, after a handful of years on the streets, are either sympathetic to people, arrogant and ignorant to people, or just trying to deal with the people they have to so they can get home to their family with a paycheck.

  • @MrLlofrudd If you're livin on the streets you still got a chance here better than most everywhere else. Living on the streets in Egypt would get you killed pretty quickly.

  • Why couldn't this guy be at UC Davis instead of Mr. Pepper Spray Cop?
