My two fav anime deaths light and lelouch. I like lelouchs death because his death was all planned and he died for the sake of the world. I'm happy with lights death because you can see he regret everything he did and if he didn't find the death note he might have become a good policeman like his dad :)

Why did Light have to die.. you could tell Light regretted his actions at the end.. and he called for Misa and takada to help .. i just pretend the anime finished at L.. that's when the anime really should of finished.. when L died.. the only reason Near came into it was because they can never let a 'bad guy' win. fuck that. actually cried when Light died.

But why couldn't they let him live until he had killed the criminals, and then kill Light? :/ I'm sad Light was killed before he could finish what he had started... He was mad, yes, but I'm interesed in seeing how the world would be if he had survived and kept on going...

L didn't have to die to this madman...he didn't deserve that fate. Light Yagami had good reasons but was soon led astray and saw himself as a god or shinigami. All of those people from Wammy's could've been spared if Light never picked up that notebook.

His confession was a pretty intense moment and it so sad that it all came down to this ending. Through out the show I did want him to loose but now that he did it's like He had good intentions, but was it really justice? And look at where all of this got him, all from picking up the death note in the first place and having such hatred towards the bad guys he became one. It's sad his life came down to this(For 6 years he was doing all of this which shocked me). :(
