My goodness, I didn't expect this series to delve so deep! I clicked expecting a short kind of featurette, but what I'm watching is much much better than what I imagined. Thanks so much for the uploads and translations, they're great, you really transmit all the emotions and feeling from the original to English!
@chineseboy1993hk hey I'm chinese too, and I don't think he should have taken the blame. If you say he should, then you're saying that Japan doesn't deserve to be advanced just because they made a mistake in the past in World War ii. That's not the way with the world! You can be successful if you forget the past and create a better future for others. and Miyazaki is the perfect example for that. And I want to follow him.
i don't get the idea of the arrows in the story board, but what i can tell from all the videos i've seen, its that miyasaki it's a genius, or at least a very inteligent and kind of dramatic guy, he is not even like the rest of japanesse people, he looks more nervious, and flamboyant, you know his constant laughs, but at the same time with wisdom and patience.
@dumbstep Dumbstep, those arrows are about the energies, or societies, conflicting in the story. Each arrow is a powerful group or force attacking one another. By analyzing it graphically you can see how the conflicts would play out. One army assisting another in one scenario. In another you have The arrow of the army crumbling, destroying itself as it conquers the other arrow. It's a way to understand flow.
hello there . thanks for putting this in youtiube. i've been lookin everywhere , cuz missed it. Do you know the recent NHK special docu showing this sunday , 6 / 21 ?
Although I didn't have enough room to add captions, Miyazaki repetitively mentions about its BGM composed by Takashi Kako, as ''Surreal Flow of his music'' or so forth...
Some of whose BGM are adopted in this backstage of Mononoke Series here, by the way!!! Did you notice them?
Enjoy this great backstage series anyhow anyway (;
The 20th Century's Images was originally broadcasted between March 1995 - Feb.1996 and had serveral re-runs as well because of the massive nature of the program contents, and also because of many many requests from those who had been attracted to the series.
In this 6th episode of the mononoke's backstage series, we see Studio Ghibli members have a study conference regarding the Japanese NHK special documentary series called ''The 20th Century in Moving Images'' internationally colloaborated with ABC.

NOT Corrigible BUT ''INcorrigible'' nature of the human.
I hope u guys've auto-corrected it in your head from its contexts cause this part is telling kind of a bottomline.
many many thanx for your understanding!
