if ur atleast 7 yards back with fmj, you should be fine in most instances however be prepared for part of the jacket of the bullet possibly coming back, always wear eye and ear pro.

yea they do bounce back. I once had 2 shards of .223 jacket come back and go in my thigh. Had to pull them out with needle nose pliers.

To the poster: why not use a thumbs forward grip? It's supposed to give you more surface contact on the gun so that you can control recoil better. An added benefit is that you point your thumbs at the target while shooting.
