I have a 95 Ford Mustang V6, and yeah yours does seem a bit slower than mine would go. However. I haven't be able to get mine to 100 yet, got to 95, but it doesn't seem to want to go past that. I think you got a nice engine, and with a few simple upgrades you'll be able to kick the speed up. Be proud of your Mustang; it's pure American.

@TheDylan222222 Becuase fords ford survives on the part sales alone notorious failures in all vehicle classes. If gm vehicles didn't run so long they wouldnt have had to take the bailout. Over 800,000 Mustangs through 94-95 blew head gaskets or had other major internal engine failure which ford put a time gap on the repairs and screwed alot of people. The same thing happened with expeditions the windshields were not put in correctly leaked water and shot the gem modules under the dash. Submarket

94-98 are ungoldy slow. even the GTs are slow for v8s. 99-04 stepped up big time both GTs and V6s. my 2000 V6 can beat 80s and 90s GTs all day if they are close to stock, and i am dead even with 99-04 GTs if they are stock. thats with less than 1700 into the car and thats only bolt ons. pretty much the price difference between a GT and a V6, same performance, better gas milage, and less insurance

Threw a CAI in there and I can say that I felt an extremely minimal power increase. It's not worth it to even mod the V6, buy a V8. The only thing I like about it is the sound of the exhaust...

if ur car turns off alot and takes a while it 2 turn on its the fuel pump...trust me..the rubber tube mite have a hole in it that doesnt let the gas go into the lines...maybe thats why ur check engine lite is on..i put so much money into minethat i dont even wanna sell it...i hate it and love it cuz i get grlz lookn all dee time hahaha...its red wit 5 star 18". 2-12 and 2-15.. so its a neckbreaker...paint soon!!

must have been newer, the SN95's were limited from factory by the computer to 110. the car will go faster but computer won't let it.

or perhaps previous owner chipped yours to remove limited... this postang is my daily driver so it gets beat on pretty good. my real cars NEVER come out almost. :(

I'm with you on why Ford even bothered to offer the 6 in mustangs. Gas mileage is only about 1 mpg better than the v8's and it's a shitload slower. Like you said, these 6's are really strong engines mechanically speaking, i'm almost turning 200k on the odo, no rebuilds on engine or tranny and it still goes to 90 with out breaking to much of a sweat.  I still love it even if it is a 6 though lol

I have an 00 v6 and it has a CAI, comp programmer, 3000rpm stall torque converter, 7.5in ford t-lok rear end, 4:10's, and a shift kit. I'm waiting right now on my new exhaust (headers, H-pipe, Duals) and then she'll be sounding nice :-)
