alan parsons was one the best bands in the late 70s and 80s, they rocked me thru many a good times and cadman 303 they dint need to go mainstream they were awesome ...
Alan was the recording engineer on Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" album. Listening to how alive the instruments sound on this 1977 recording shows that he really is a craftsman of sonic quality.
To this day, this is the song that still makes me wish that Alan, Eric and Isaac Asimov could've joined forces and actually made a full-blown musical out of the Foundation Trilogy...
im 30. ive searched song after song for 13 years. i was wasted otw home with my dad my friend and 2 guys with a half barrel we didnt know we picked up from the infield at pocono raceway.i could not remember any words but i knew the day i heard the song i would know....thank you youtube !
i am 22 years old, and i just listened to this song and album for the first time today... all i can say is: WOW. just plain AWESOME. I think that alan parsons is my new favorite "classic rock" band. their music is seriously better than most of the stuff i hear from today...
This song is, by far, my favorite song of all time. I bought this album in 1977 while looking for an Alan Parsons Project song that I didn't know the name of. I was instantly hooked! I loved this song the very first time it played. The song I was originally looking for was from Tales of Mystery and Imagination and it was called The System of Doctor Tarr and Professor Feather, another APP favorite of mine.
I teared up when I heard this song on the radio this morning, for the first time in about 6 years, so I had completely forgotten about the song. My grandfather owns this album on vinyl
I have loved Alan Parson's project since my days in college. This particular album is so cool on so many levels. It tells a great story, and the instrumentals and attention to detail in the songs just haves you hanging on the edge of your seat. I wore out this album in college and had to go buy another album!
I remember when I was a kid listening to this song and thinking, man, the words to this song are deep - like an extension of an awareness that is almost painful to be aware of. Well, that's how I felt. I mean just listen closely to the words and absorb them
I have the LP but not the CD. I remember when I bought it. Long ago in a time far, far away... In a mall that no longer exists...No poetic justice. Sorry... :o P
@BlackSoulAcid Killah priest - I Believe. You got it wrong bro. it was killah priest who sampled it first in may 2008. anyway try SOME OTHER TIME (god bless)
What a great song. The lyricis (nothing to say), the wonderful melody, that atmosphere of melancoly, the guitar at the end and the progressions. This song is just perfect to me. Just a shame that Peter Straker and Jaki Whitren don't sing in any other The Alan Parsons Project song.
Sem dúvida alguma, é uma excelente música. Conheci há pouco tempo, mas parece que conheço desde o primeiro dia da minha vida. Ouço dezenas de vezes ao dia. Simplesmente tocante.
Great song!!! I just reme4mber the first time I heard I Robot (early 1979 ( a bit late , allright)) How come this song haven't been featured in any movie????
I had the original album on LP. Still sounds great after all these decades.
