  • I had the original album on LP. Still sounds great after all these decades.

  • This whole album is the best music to listen to while star-gazing...

  • alan parsons was one the best bands in the late 70s and 80s, they rocked me thru many a good times and cadman 303 they dint need to go mainstream they were awesome ...

  • Alan was the recording engineer on Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" album. Listening to how alive the instruments sound on this 1977 recording shows that he really is a craftsman of sonic quality.

  • good song thnx for posting

  • Is that john Cleese and Mr. Bean on the Album cover?

  • @kvc4791 I've wondered the same thing myself.

  • Snowgoons!!!

  • To this day, this is the song that still makes me wish that Alan, Eric and Isaac Asimov could've joined forces and actually made a full-blown musical out of the Foundation Trilogy...

  • Thumbs up nice track

  • Another classic song from The Allan Parsons Project.

  • i am 22 years old, and i just listened to this song and album for the first time today... all i can say is: WOW. just plain AWESOME. I think that alan parsons is my new favorite "classic rock" band. their music is seriously better than most of the stuff i hear from today...

  • I love that this is a duet that you really have to listen carefully to realize that it is two singers.

  • Que tema!!! fue mi primer vinilo...y aun lo escucho

  • @CrateExcavator

    wow, thanks!

  • @CrateExcavator could you tell me the name of the song in which the sample was used?

    Much appreciated :)

  • its an excellent tune...but i miss viro the virus :)

  • @CrateExcavator True beyond a doubt.

  • I listened to this album in quadrophonic when it was produced. Very nice.

  • One of 2 songs I have picked for my funeral. The other one is Roy Buchanan's "Mrs. Pressure."

  • @AnarchoCap Dude, that would be awesome. I might steal that idea!

  • very dreamy i love it i can almost picture the whole sky being a huge mirror!!

  • This song is, by far, my favorite song of all time. I bought this album in 1977 while looking for an Alan Parsons Project song that I didn't know the name of. I was instantly hooked! I loved this song the very first time it played. The song I was originally looking for was from Tales of Mystery and Imagination and it was called The System of Doctor Tarr and Professor Feather, another APP favorite of mine.

  • @Allardyce Totally agree

  • I teared up when I heard this song on the radio this morning, for the first time in about 6 years, so I had completely forgotten about the song. My grandfather owns this album on vinyl

  • @EmphaticItalic

got it too on vinyl one of the best ever

  • beautiful song!

  • what a beautiful melody...brilliant how the guitar solo changes the mood and then returns to that haunting melody along with the horns ..great!!!

  • this song should have over a million views

  • This brings back so many childhood memories!

  • Who is the singer ? There are three or four vocalists in the album but I don't know who sings this song.

  • @TheCultio Peter Straker sings most of the song, and Jaki Whitren sings only the chorus.

  • nice acoustic

  • wow, beat beautiful!!

  • Oh my. Oh thank you Aqualung1989 for uploading this. I'm going to have to reget this on CD. Forgot how much I liked my Alan Parsons.

  • genial cancion

    me llega rarísimo

el de los numeros extraños vendrá pronto

  • this album is one of the many greatest works of all time!!

  • I have loved Alan Parson's project since my days in college. This particular album is so cool on so many levels. It tells a great story, and the instrumentals and attention to detail in the songs just haves you hanging on the edge of your seat. I wore out this album in college and had to go buy another album!

  • I remember when I was a kid listening to this song and thinking, man, the words to this song are deep - like an extension of an awareness that is almost painful to be aware of. Well, that's how I felt. I mean just listen closely to the words and absorb them

  • Whenever someone I know passes away, perfect song to do some deep soul searching. I want this played at my wake.

  • Me sinto maravilhada, de saber que pessoas como The Alan Parsons tem o poder de criar, músicas tão deliciosas quanto essa.

Sinto me com a sensação de levitar.

    Demaissssssssssss

  • snowgoons - starlight, word up! great song!

  • terrific

  • I have the LP but not the CD. I remember when I bought it. Long ago in a time far, far away... In a mall that no longer exists...No poetic justice. Sorry... :o P

  • Excelente Album...creo que hace tiempo que no se hace musica como ésta

  • excelent song to play with acoustic guitar at the beginning, and finish with a great solo

  • Snowgoons!!!

  • love at first hearing

  • snowgoons-starlight

  • @BlackSoulAcid yup yup :D

  • @BlackSoulAcid Killah priest - I Believe. You got it wrong bro. it was killah priest who sampled it first in may 2008. anyway try SOME OTHER TIME (god bless)

  • What a great song. The lyricis (nothing to say), the wonderful melody, that atmosphere of melancoly, the guitar at the end and the progressions. This song is just perfect to me. Just a shame that Peter Straker and Jaki Whitren don't sing in any other The Alan Parsons Project song.

  • great song for Lost! :) the lyrics are paralele significate from the island!

  • Sem dúvida alguma, é uma excelente música. Conheci há pouco tempo, mas parece que conheço desde o primeiro dia da minha vida. Ouço dezenas de vezes ao dia. Simplesmente tocante.

  • definatly one of my favorites of all time.

  • the best song from APP. vocal : peter straker

Could it be that somebody else is looking into my mind?!

  • this song really reminds me of King Crimson

  • wow this is some dope stuff here. killah priest sampled the track

  • Great song!!! I just reme4mber the first time I heard I Robot (early 1979 ( a bit late , allright)) How come this song haven't been featured in any movie????

  • The best song in the "I Robot" LP. Brilliantly introspective along with Old and Wise and Dont Let It Show.

Alan is a genius musician. Too bad his creative output was not as good when with Woolfson...

  • across the spectrum of music, can't get it like this any more.

  • Awesome haunting melody, perfect mixed with the heavy bass. Have LOVED this song ever since this album first came out!!

  • @klm7858 ya,it was the first tape i bought.

i listen to it on rainy days mostly..

    amazing still.

  • Beautiful album.

  • Totally agreed Allen. Not a " Eh, that was okay " song on the entire album imho.
