  • Who sings this song?

  • @radiovideotv1 The first lady. I'm not shitting you.

  • I want to learn more about French Guiana but there are not much resources on the Internet or in textbooks. It is still well-known though. Big up French Guiana! =)

  • @mszRudegyaL I agree. There is very little out there on Guyane, and it is a shame because it is a very important part of the EU and should be better represented. Also, improved awareness would help tourism and provide economic diversification. Paris could do more to help by promoting Guyane more prominently in national tourism campaigns abroad, and also in encouraging more airlines and hotels to serve the region. Hey Air France, set up a Cayenne-Montreal route and actually PROMOTE it ;-)

  • I'm sorry man, but we are not poor!!! Trust me, I'm brazilian and I study International Relations and I don't see another country that your people pay 40% of your salary every month to your country... We are not poor man, we are victims of a sistem perfect that keep the richs rich and make our change status difficult... Our coutry never gonna be poor, but it should think for in your people... this's my opinion...

  • Answer to rafaelsouzasp79 (page 6) Your ignorance is appalling, and jealousy... pathetic!

The inhabitants of Guiana voted democratically to stay French in 1946 because they knew pretty well they would become as poor as the rest of South America if they chose independence. So vive la Guyane française et notre suberpe Ariane !!!

  • Answer to Lopezdecastilla: I thought there were no dictators left in South America! - Are you related with late general Franco by any chance, and do you intend to assault French Guiana with home made machetes, hombre salvaje de un pais primitivo?...

  • Sorry Mister "TheLiberalKnight", but French Guiana is NOT a colony, but a French overseas département just like Guadeloupe and Martinique in the West Indies or Reunion Island in the Indian ocean, whose citizens chose to remain French following a referendum held in 1946 and therefore enjoying the same rights as in mainland France so I wish any "colony" around the world would be as poor and oppressed as they are... not to mention French Polynesia in the Pacific ocean...

  • ???

  • Guiana is by far the richest colony France now owns. However, it's other colonies are pretty poor economically. Britain has less rich colonies but more of them. So it all balances out really.

  • Beautiful pictures with beautiful music. Excellent presentation! Thanks!

  • The country with whom France have the longer border is not in Europe because it's Brazil thanks to our beautifull Guyane :-)

For all stinking roastbeefs old jaelous english-speaking of France, the French Guyane is a full part of France & a French Département as all the others in Europe or around the world (France have more parts of him in the world & not only the Guyane ^^) & his unhabitants are French Citizens as the others in Europe or everywhere in the wolrd where parts of France are present

  • If you are FG Creole, thn you think it's great. The country/land is great. But the Hmong, 2% of the population of about 200,000+ are treated like losers. They provide if not all, most of the agricultural for this oversea territory, yet the French Guianese never ever recognized that, never mention them, never show them on anything. If you are not a "metro' or FG Creole, you are a second class there. I live there as an American for 3 years. I see it everywhere.

  • WOW!!Beautiful music!!Beautiful voice!!!Please, someone can tell me who sings it and the name of the music???

  • @gihlbrechtlorenz

Carla Bruni is especially currently the 1st French Lady because she is the wife of the French President ^^

  • who knows the name of the song ?

  • @abrahamlab Carla Bruni - Quelqu'un M'a Dit

  • French Guiana makes me think about my country, Bolivia. Maybe we would be much better if we had never gain independence from Spain....maybe it was a mistake

  • Hablen español cabrones, por que algún dia lo harán a las fuerzas. Fuera Francia de Sud América.

  • HMONG PEOPLE

  • it is not a country its a french overseas departement

  • belle belle musique allez allez carla bruni c`est un magnifique pays je voudrais y aller

  • @abrahamlab

  • i havent a clue what she was singing only that she has the sexiest voice i ever heard!

  • according to some sources guiana is a developed country but i don't see it.

  • @JOSUE1987 .. acording to what ??? in latin america its 1rst brasil

    2nd argentina

    3rd mexico

    ....

    ..

    ..

    where is guayana ?

  • @alesanarocksmexico According to Wikipedia

  • @alesanarocksmexico French guiana has the best health system and the longest longevity age in all south america because of the french health system. And the lowest crime rate . This is why a lot of illegal immigrants come to f. guiana because it is a gateway to europe. The only problem in french guina is to get all the tribes from the amazone to send their children to school and sendentitize them.. The unemployed rate is rather up (15-20%?)

  • @alesanarocksmexico (end) But I can say to you that the past few years there has been lots of ameliorations (universities, jobs, schools created) and it's not finished. nobody wants independance because they are feeling well in france. French guina has the best quality of life of all s. america and is the biggest economy as we take in aacount it is part of france.

  • @Lithoselaia not su much .. its brasil chile and mexico have the most money the wealthiest and biggest and most important cities . but yes guyana si geting stronger

  • If french guyana was Independente it would be a cesspool with two or three families running the country, coupt d'etats every other week, hunger, and possibly the poorest country in the american continent. My advice is stay with France

  • Mortel la music!!!

  • Mortel la music

  • i will not visit this country, spiders are too big over there

  • What language do you speak there?. French, Spanish?

I'm from Argentina and i look forward to go there one day.

  • @ChapaAVA

French, I'm Argentinian too and i lived there for 2 years and it's was wonderful. I recommend you to go

  • Excellent video! I have enjoyed your amazing photos and music, and the insight into this fascinating country which it provides.

  • I loved the music :)

  • boco

  • Kuntz, this is one of my favorite songs.

  • Name of that music please? thaks

  • Quelqu'un m'a dit

  • What's the name of the song?

  • carla bruni quelqu'un m'a dit

  • @dtconte it's (clara bruni -quelqu'un ma dit)

  • who come there because they hope to have a better life than in their country because it's a young country which begins grow up and where there is a lot of jobs. I say that because I was born and I live in this country.I'm proud to be french, guianese, european, south american and I haven't the feeling to live in a colony or in the slavery. For ignorants go back in your encyclopedia or books!

  • french because they are proud to be european and also south american. The evidence wich shows that French Guiana it's rich country is net migration rate is positive, it attracts a lot of people of south america (peru, brasil, colombia...)

  • @bonanza973

French guiana is also awesomest country when it comes to the protection of the rainforest, THE biggest protected forest IN THE world. If i readed right the protected area covers around 1/3 of french guiana, thats pretty damn impressive.

  • @BaFUD French guiana is NOT a country, is only part of French Overseas Departments and Territories.

They have French passport, the same laws than France, the same money euro, the same language, the same social help than the rest of French people. the European Ariane space is situate in Fr. guiana (kourou)...

I went 2 weeks it was amazing !

are you member of an independantist party ?

France already lost the French Canada (Québec and New Brunswick) now this region in S. A. must stay French.

  • It's very pitifull to see this ignorants, first: several pics in this video dated from 70's and doesn't reflect the reality. In other hand, for people who don't know the economy of this country is based on the space(european space center, soyouz) and on the ecology(naturals park, forest conservation) but also there is a wish to preserve the traditions of the cosmopolitan people in this country,so don't say there is not a plan for Guiana. I think if they hold an election, they will wanted stay

  • Thank you I didn't now that I would love to visit you land : )

  • I am Brazilian and I am very sad to see that comments about it.

By the way, the videos i watched about Guianas and Suriname surrended me, that countries are not showed in our news, media, etc. Liked more this video, that showed the beauty of forest and beaches in the French Guiana.

Well, maybe sorry for my english, I have not to much practice.

  • As far as I know, UNO doesn't classify countries according to racism levels...

  • french guiana is the richest country of south america and have the highest level of life in the continent because of french department statute

  • No way!!!!

Have you ever been to Argentina? Or Chile? People there have a FAR better living condition than French Guiana.

Honestly, French Guiana resemble some of the poorest Brazilian states. It's a sad situation.

It's nothing but a colony. They don't share the quality of life of continental France and never will.

By the way... have you ever hold an election to see if they want to be part of France... I wonder why would they want that...

  • FREEDOM TO FRENCH GUIANA

All South America must be free!

WE MUSTN'T ACCEPT COLONIES IN 21ST CENTURY.

  • French guiana, they treat the brazilian imigrants like slaves there,i watch a documantary film, and the EU is tha one who is talking abaut human rights, ridiculous:))))

  • It's true. The French people in French Guiana disrespect the natives and other southern peoples all the time.

Guiana should be free of their exploitation.

  • Brasil had a Plan to invaded All Guyanas, back in 1940's. I think they need to have their own freedom. But the EURO talks and Bullshit Walks, you known. Treat Brazillians like slaves, no way. Let's invade and set them free. ALL !

  • French guiana isn't a colony , u should know that! It's a french overseas department with her blinding between french culture, latino culture, asiatic culture and african culture. Who speaks of slavery, pff wathever !

  • A referendum was held a few days ago in this "colony" for more autonomy: It was largely (70%) rejected. How about Independence of Acre from Brazil, or Alaska from the USA? Guyana is not more a colony than these two examples. French laws, democratic institutions, education, health and social welfare fully apply there. Of course, there are economic problems, but it is still far better than Surinam or Amapà, from which one in 4 inhabitants of French Guyana come...

  • Alaska is way to interconnected with the US by culture, economic equality etc for it to be compared to a country that is as similar to France as is haiti. The only thing they have in common is language.

  • @ps92117 I agree that economic standards in Alaska are the same than in mainland USA, but comparing French Guyana, the richest land in central and south America combined (and highest HDI) with Haiti, its poorest country (by far), is obviously an attempt to distort reality.

  • @wollin20 some people don't know that we are not a colony :)

  • Beautiful Vid!! Im off to join French Foreign Legion next month hopefully..and French Guiana/3R.E.I is my 1st choice for posting!! :-)

Hope to see it 1 day!

    Cheers for upload!

  • Nice song and beaches¡

  • its an overseas department not a colonie

but you are right about the money thing

  • You must choose stronger leaders in local government who can push your rights.

  • What do you mean run down?

who needs posh roof over your stuff (that is kind of definition of a house) if there is never cold outside?

And if every place looked like London or NY with simetrical highrise buildings and nice asphalt roads, It'd be damn boring world.

Thank you so much for this video! French Guiana looks so beautiful and someday we would love to see it!

Thank you again! DO you have more videos of French Guiana? It is difficult to find good information about the everyday lives of people there.
