Hi, I have a Macbook Pro Core Duo not 2 Duo, just Duo, it was one of the first that came up on the market with an aluminum body back in 2006. It starts up in less than a minute and it has a normal 7200RPM hard drive (not SSD). What is your MacBook ? I don't understand why it takes so long to boot up.... it's insane.

Reset your PRAM and it may help with the delay before the Apple logo appears at the boot screen

Why did your SSD Mac spend so long at the grey screen before the Apple?
