Gives you pause when great performers like David Bowie and Peter Gabriel can't do it better than Ray Davies. They gave it a good shot though. The Kinks -- what a band, what a time, what a great collection of songs. They are almost -- untouchable in what they achieved. Their catalog is just as important as the Who, the Beatles, the Stones, the Doors. Just as important -- if not, in some ways -- more enduring and beloved to some.

i really enjoy the scratch my back album he did. such genius, and i am indeed seeing him live in Montreal this coming wednesday!! i'm so excited!! i really wish he would perform this song. doesn't look like its in the setlist. hopefully he added it for the north american gigs! :-D
