lol wow. the first time i had a mac crashed on me i was furious. but i restarted it and it was fine. idk. ive never had a big problem with it. and where i live, my power goes out ALL THE TIME. so its really reliable. and YES i have tried windows 7. it crashed on me in 5mins of installing it. the screen went black out of nowhere then it wouldent start up for a long time. dont assume what ive done. btw: just reinstall os x with the cd that came with it and itll be fine.

@InuYashaFreak64 Hmm, I dont think any computer is better. It depends on what you do with it. I recomend the Mac for school, the mac is very lightweight, very sleek, ect. The Windows 7 computers are more bulky, though, very good on gaming. The lynux is balanced.

the os on it has nothing to do with the hardware. and not all macs are lightweight and sleek. the mac pro weighs around 50 lbs and is much bigger than the standard tower computer. the best computers for gaming in my opinion is rather the mac pro or alienware. alienware is specifically built for hardcore gaming while the mac pro was ment for creating those games, but can also run them amazingly well.

also i prefer macintosh because 1: i produce music and love logic pro made by apple. 2: i find the gui much easer to use. 3: the people that use macintosh are just my kind of people :) ... well i can come up with multiple reasons but what really brought me to a mac was how they look, run, and my experience with windows. i feel like when i use a windows computer i have to wear a macafee condom because ill catch a virus lol.

lol sorry my mind was elsewhere when i wrote that. anywho, you were just talking about the iMac. it's the well known macintosh they have. when someone thinks of mac, they think imac. that's really their only 'sleek' computer though. they have the mini, and the pro for desktops which are just regular desktops, instead of the all in one imac. for gaming, id say the alienware computers or the mac pro would be your best bet.

while the alienware was made for hardcore games, the mac pro was made for hardcore anything. and alot of the software [with the exeption of fruity loops, by image-line] that i use are mac exclusive, so there's really no way to run them on any other kind of computer. i use logic pro alot [music development software] made by apple which only supports macintosh os. ive just had really bad experiences with windows over the years and those problems just never really came up on my mac.
