"You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing's replaced them," he said.

From Obama’s Dreams of My Father:

From Obama’s Dreams of My Father: 'There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And white.'
Larry Elder I hate to say it but you are wasting your breath. These mean have no clue about the fundamentals of the Gospel, if any man teaches away from the Gospel you do get up and leave. The Bible tells you exactly what these men stand for and it tells you exactly what will happen to them. There is no doubt Barack Obama feels that these men are right no need to preach to them grab everyone who will leave and get out.
Larry Elder's just an arch-conservative who says that racism is a thing of the past, and talks about how black people shouldn't get mad about the word 'nigger' and so forth. The only reason this fool sells books is because he appeals to angry white men.
We need more black entitlements, reparations, welfare raise, more government housing, more government programs, more affirmative action, more food stamps!
WHY, because I be black that's why!
You'll give us more, right?

Obama's response to Wright's words serve as an imperative contrast to the few, soundbite negative statements of his pastor with Obama's own message of hope and unity, seen in his More Perfect Union speech. Even if Wright's comments were as explicitly racist as maintained, what's more powerful: Wright's message of "racism", or Obama's message of hope? Which is stronger? We've all had guiding figures with whom we disagree. Obama's broader assessment of the need for hope will prevail.
I don't understand for the life of me why Jim Wallis of all people is defending Obama and his racist pastor. I once believed that Obama was a healer and supported him for president because of that belief, but now that the truth is out there is no longer any justification for a person of good conscience to support or defend Obama. Racism and the appeasment of it is wrong no matter who expresses it and who the target is, such evil has no place in the pulpit or anywhere else for any reason.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this site is now dumber for having listened to it. May God have mercy on your soul

The ministry of Jim Wallace is so important to America.
To come out in defense of Barack attending a blatantly racists church seems to me to be a huge error and represents extremism in and of itself.
What you are willing to sacrifice for the advancement of your ideas is what separates Christians from politicians imo.
