@mmchevyimpala65 Me, id rather throw my money at the Rock Island and try it out. A guy at my range had a Taurus and got rid of it, wasn't his thing he said. I never used it so I can't judge directly. Taurus look flashy but I guess they're cheap for a reason, Rock Island doesn't look flashy so your paying for whats inside it primarily... Thats only the way I'd think about it...
Haves anyone heard about rock island i'm thinking of getting a 38 super, and the gun shop is trying to sell me that one I wish I could afford a colt but can't...is that a good brand?
@mmchevyimpala65 hey, I've only heard of the brand in passing, but looking it up they don't seem to be too bad if your on a budget... the only thing I'm aware of is that you might want to replace the stock iron sights on it, apparently they are really small... anywho, thats my 2 bobs worth...
As much as I hate to admit ..... I'm much better with my Glock 17 . I usually carry a Taurus Tracker .44 magnum 5 shot . Go figure ...... Sig P-225 is very nice as well ... very accurate . .44 mag load's are @ 1250 fps w/ 180 grain cast lead hollow cavity .
@MAHARDWAY Haha, I happened to have just sold my Ruger Security Six .357 Magnum and now the only pistol I have left (sad face) is my Glock 34 (9mm) which I enjoy immensely... And man those .44 mag loads are pretty nice, shat all over my pistol loads...

@MAHARDWAY If you knew what a Service Match was you'd know that you do multiple sections including shooting single handed with both your preferred and non preferred hand. Dont be pretentious.
@Fishbatmanpro I believe you misunderstand , please allow me to clarify . My comments were intended as a compliment . At my range , there are very few who shoot the .38 Super caliber . Most shoot .45ACP , 357 Sig , 9X23 or 10 mm and refer to THE CALIBER as " 38 Stupid " . I am quite familiar with IPSC matches , however I was referring to daily CCW carry in the real world , where I would take advantage of a two hand hold any chance I get . I did not intend to offend .
@Fishbatmanpro Now I'll be a bit " pretentious " if I may . My coach has suggested that when shooting with one " paw " , that I fold the other across my body , hand over heart , with a lightly closed fist . Weak hand score went up dramatically . I sincerely hope this helps you become a better shooter , which is what we are all after . Good shooting to you , young man !

I also have a Ruger Security Six .357 revolver and that like
(as far as I'm aware of) all other .357 caliber Revolvers can
shoot a .38 Special case, not a .38 super (which is the one in the video).
I on occasion use a .38 special round for practice or just plinking because
sometimes i can get that ammo cheaper and also the recoil difference is
massive. huge difference....
