I never understood why he walked around IN THE COSTUME if he knew that the Popples would show up and make a mess of things.

Although, most of the charm of this show was how they'd always manage to undo the mess they made in a matter of seconds. It's like a predecessor to "Phineas and Ferb" in that way.
