To me, this song is about a Sami (or any other indigenous) man, who realizes that the world has changed/changing (hence the title "New World") and he wants to stick to his shamanic/natural ways but the more the world is being industrialised, the harder it's becoming.

What the F. Shamanism is the most stupid thing in the world so come on dudes, try to realize that the world is different than shamanism.... And this music is so so so so so bad. !!!!
@josef493 Well well, tell me. What makes shamanism stupid? And what do you believe in? Do you think you think you believe in something better that will save your ass off anything? This music is great, and it has an important message for every listener.
@deathclock9 First of all, Shamanism was created in Siberia.. Shaman was officially a Turkish word.. Finnish cultures do have something to do with Yoiking, there was this finnish culture.. something starting 'U'.
@metalgod1993 ehh... shamanism wasn't "created" anywhere, it's common for all nature religions. you'll find someone holding the role of a shaman in most cultures that haven't been invaded by modern civilization and the idea of living in cities instead of close to nature, or been taken over by one of the bigger religions
@gadnihasj I'm sorry I ment Shaman was a Turkish word.. and yeah, the last thing ain't true indeed.. it isn't created anywhere.. don't know how i came to that.. maby a book.
Buure laavlu.
Kuuntelin Shamaani Duo:a jo enne Shamania.
Joy of course, seeing that wolf running in away is just so....so....so fucking beautiful, that i cant even find words to descripe it! And im Male BTW :D
I always knew that Shaman existed before Korpiklaani but never bothered to go and look for them until now... and wow. I was not expecting this, Jonne sounds so much more... fresh and alive. I like this style of singing!
And when you thought i couldn't be better, there goes that fucking awesome solo at the end

the shamanism was created to help us to find ourself going back to our origins, the nature, ie find our truth.
as they used to said the truth will set us free, I think that in this
wolf represents someone who has just found itself, he has find the truth, so he is finally free.

Ođđa máilbmi. Lovely song.
Can't find what little lyrics there are anywhere though, and my knowledge of Nothern Sámi is too incomplete to get them by ear.

"Geahčan dan odda mailbmi, geahčan dan ođđasis"
