  • And when you thought i couldn't be better, there goes that fucking awesome solo at the end

  • To me, this song is about a Sami (or any other indigenous) man, who realizes that the world has changed/changing (hence the title "New World") and he wants to stick to his shamanic/natural ways but the more the world is being industrialised, the harder it's becoming.

  • This is amazing song. respect fot the Saame people.

  • i love this kind of music

    masterpiece

  • love this music and video...

  • he can't no longer do this voice :(

  • @dedigirl :(

If he could, even once, the world would have a good deal less of suck and fail.

  • 0:37 is this jonne järvelä?

  • @ph012 All the song

  • @josef493 Well well, tell me. What makes shamanism stupid? And what do you believe in? Do you think you think you believe in something better that will save your ass off anything? This music is great, and it has an important message for every listener.

  • i want to live in the forest

  • This is great. Listening to this song, seen a picture of frosty winter morning.

    Greetings from Russia

  • Interesting.. I can't see this video, but I can hear the music :D Well.. it's better by this way x)

  • thank you :)

  • voi, sinä samaani, uskomatonta ja ihanaa musaa........

  • Can someone translate it here...? :)

  • Brings tears to my eyes.

  • @deathclock9 First of all, Shamanism was created in Siberia.. Shaman was officially a Turkish word.. Finnish cultures do have something to do with Yoiking, there was this finnish culture.. something starting 'U'.

  • @metalgod1993 ehh... shamanism wasn't "created" anywhere, it's common for all nature religions. you'll find someone holding the role of a shaman in most cultures that haven't been invaded by modern civilization and the idea of living in cities instead of close to nature, or been taken over by one of the bigger religions

  • @gadnihasj I'm sorry I ment Shaman was a Turkish word.. and yeah, the last thing ain't true indeed.. it isn't created anywhere.. don't know how i came to that.. maby a book.

  • the shamanism was created to help us to find ourself going back to our origins, the nature, ie find our truth.

as they used to said the truth will set us free, I think that in this

wolf represents someone who has just found itself, he has find the truth, so he is finally free.

  • @deathclock9

This has nothing to do with native americans.

  • the wolves are so cool

  • I love this electric-guitar rifles :)

  • Great song from a great band.Korpiklaani, the best folk metal ever

  • NICE!

  • zomg i love korpiklaani but this is just amasingly good

  • yes!yes!yes! great !! wolf is amazing :D

  • Too bad Korpiklaani has drifted from the roots.

Theyr new CD is nothing, nothing like this.

I almost wish they never got famous.

  • As "Korpiklaani" they made some awesome albums, but the last one is really bad, they have no more ideas... i wished the last album sounded like this

  • I really, really , really thoroughly enjoy listening to this and other Shaman songs. Still like Korpiklaani but this is different.

  • Buorre lávlu. Mun gal liikon.

  • Buure laavlu.

Vaikka Hullusta Porosta :)

  • Kuuntelin Shamaani Duo:a jo enne Shamania.

  • Can't believe this has only got 33 comments.

As much as I love korpiklaani, god damn I wish I could have seen shaman live.

  • well people just remain speechless...

and true about what you said

  • beautiful song

    beautiful language

    beautiful landscape

    great

  • what is the song about? :S

  • FUCKING GREATT!!

  • It's so pure...

  • Why on the FUCK do i start to cry when the Wolf runs away?

  • are those tears of joy or sorrow?

  • Joy of course, seeing that wolf running in away is just so....so....so fucking beautiful, that i cant even find words to descripe it! And im Male BTW :D

  • It's funny that i prefer shaman than korpiklaani

  • Too bad you can't find these CDs and order them. No one -- that's right, NO ONE -- has them for sale. Not Amazon, not Ebay, no one. A pity!

  • You can buy them on Korpiklaani's website. ;)

  • Korpiklaani website they are wonderful i've ordered something in matter of one week i've received my order.

  • dude.. wolves are so metal! Jonne jarvella is the shit. Love the joik.

  • OMG! My blood is stirring, boiling, something is calling me! I really don't know why i react to some joiks so intensively...

The video and the song matches perfectly!

    Thank you!

  • joik are an awesome chant style.. i react intensively too..

this video is so great, now i want to run through a forest, like a free wolf.

    great song too

  • @smileeey3 I feel that I must run, just like the wolf.

  • @smileeey3 Calling me too...

  • You don`t need the text, to feel what it`s all about, and that`s important

  • Ođđa máilbmi. Lovely song.

Can't find what little lyrics there are anywhere though, and my knowledge of Nothern Sámi is too incomplete to get them by ear.

  • it goes like:

"Geahčan dan odda mailbmi, geahčan dan ođđasis"

(from official Korpiklaani forum :) )

  • Type on google "shaman lyrics" and the first site haves it

  • Those are not "this Shaman" lyrics... Those are some other band named Shaman or was it Shamaan...

  • shaman spirit resides in that song

  • I always knew that Shaman existed before Korpiklaani but never bothered to go and look for them until now... and wow. I was not expecting this, Jonne sounds so much more... fresh and alive. I like this style of singing!

  • this is magical

  • Amazing video!! thanks a lot for uploading!!

By the way, what does "Odda Mailbmi" means?

  • "Odda Mailbmi" means "New World"

  • Thanks!

  • @Warhomar Is it the Sami language?

  • Wow.....this is stunning. I can't believe I haven't heard this song before! I love Jonne and Korpiklaani. I need more songs like this though....sigh.

  • man this is so damn good i cant believe it

  • very cool video! :))

  • Man, this is so awesome! Brilliant song...but, that isn´t Jonne, is it?O.o

  • It is Jonne, singing and in the video

  • Jonne is a genius! great work!

  • Amazing video, amazing song.

  • I have seen this video so many times and still get goosebumps everytime the wolf breaks free... Simply powerful music!
