  • Well, that's pretty genius.

  • Needs to be seen by more people! Thanks for posting this!

  • "Angels don't frig!" ROTFL!!!

  • Prophetic geniuses!

  • 'Prescient' or what! Thanks for posting.

  • The 4 people who disliked this don't deserve the internet through which they commited such a crime.

  • Fry looks like Julian Assange

  • This sketch immidiatly came to my mind, soon as I saw the tweet. A masterpiece.

  • TIL that Rebekah Brooks has 4 youtube accounts ;-)

  • C'mon Rupert, show you're generosity and donate $10,000,000 or £10,000,000 to the East Africa Relief Fund.

  • if only someone would push him of a bridge

  • I love when Fry tries to do an American accent. He fails terribly but it's sweet or something. What a great show.

  • Good but cannot top the satirical comedy value of the Chief Exec of NewsCorp investigating the editor who was in charge at the time of the phone hacking - who of course was herself.

  • This was priceless, and very timely.

  • They've missed off the bit at the end where Fry shakes his head and says 'twat' ;-)

  • It's a shame Rupert Murdoch technically owns House. NBC Universal make it - but Fox bought it. I'm sure if the subject of Sean Hannity or Bill O'Reilly came up, Laurie (along with Seth MacFarlane and Matt Groening) would be the first to delicately annunciate the disclaimer, "Other news sources are available."

  • Perfection...

  • Looks like Rupert, James, and Rebekah have seen this already and given it the thumbs down! :)

  • I must find a situation in which I can say "Get me the cock out of here," as soon as possible.

  • @Reibusu it's one of my favourite phrases. :)

  • Kinda interesting that Mr Murdoch now ultimately signs Hughie's pay check, isn't it? ;-) Doesn't make the sketch or House any worse, though.

  • "get me the cock out of here!"

i love this sketch, especially stephen's funny american accent... it sounds more like his northern accents...

  • @artvandelay13 - The original actor in the part was from Northern England.

  • It took me a couple of minutes to realise that Hugh was actually playing Rupert Murdoch. Hilarious!

  • Great sketch. One word missing off the end, though :D

  • @YKW2 what word? just curious, i haven;t seen this episode. :)

  • forgive me if this is a stupid question, but whats with the shocked old man at the start?

does that have something to do with the actual movie this is a spoof of?

  • I'm not entirely sure if the old man is a direct reference to it, but I can tell you that this skit is a spoof of "It's a Wonderful Life", the classic Jimmy Stewart christmas film.

  • There was an old man in this scene from the original film, too.

  • @guysmiley00 Gosh, really? I dunno, it's pretty subtle...

  • well i'll be rogered with a stiff wire brush! thats good

  • How I love and agree with this sketch..

  • well shag me twice!!!

  • Haha, Steven can do a marvelous American accent as well.

  • @bemoreunique Haha that's actually a pretty terrible American accent, but very funny skit nonetheless. I love Stephen Fry.

  • @DutchMeNow Not wishing to sound nit-picky, but Murdoch's Australian.

  • @crabhat1 ... I'm obviously referring to Stephen Fry's accent, hence the "I love Stephen Fry"

  • @DutchMeNow Doh! Today I learned to never reply while jetlagged. I say the silliest things.

  • @crabhat1 haha that's okay. That deleted comment above you said exactly the same about it being Australian, but got deleted by the user moments after posting :)

  • What has this to do with the writer's strike?

  • ooh, was that john bird in the car?

  • haha, funny sketch. and stephen fry openly admits that rupert murdoch is his least favourite living person on earth. i guess it is a reference to him as non2002 said.

  • "get me the cock out of here"

  • "Well, shag me twice"...they've bastardized one of my favorite movies.....and I love it:)

  • God.... just realised this a reference to Rupert Murdoch. The Australian accent, newpaper congolomerate owner, Wapping/Times takeover.

  • And this was a couple of years before he created Fox News.

  • ...erm... yeah, but he still owned the Sun, Sky, all kinds of things.

  • yes many thanks a real treat

  • Thank you for posting this.
