Today I decided to watch a full episode of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart for the first time. I watched the episode from May 10, 2011, and he played a clip of Cenk on MSNBC.
There was a WSJ article that shows that Cramer didn't beat the S&P500 index over the past 9 years even assuming no fees.
Cramer is a horrible stock picker who got lucky buying tech stocks in the 1990s at his hedge fund. Anyone who was reckless made money in tech during the 1990s.

The market is based off of confidence, when a CEO comes on tv and says his company is doing great the networks that cover stock market trading aren't going to question them because it would create doubt. If there is doubt in the stock market everything goes down, then people stop watching these financial shows because its not making them money, and therefore these financial shows are shooting themselves in the foot by questioning anyone. anybody who knows anything about finance knows cramer is a joke. the danger lies in the fact that americans will watch his circus of a show and the majority will believe him. he's not a stock picker, he's an entertainer... that's the real problem with cnbc as a whole. sometimes it's news sometimes it's a show... but they won't differentiate between the two when it comes to informing YOU. it's money in GE's pocket, on top of that.

Furthermore the Bush Cuts only cause a 3% decrease in the taxes of those that make over $300,000.00 dollars a year . So if everyone making 300grand has their tax increase by less than 1,000 dollars a year , how does this hurt us .So lets say you make 5 million per year , remove Bushcuts and you pay 150 thousand more bucks in tax , that benifits the country and hurts nobody .

The market is based off of confidence, when a CEO comes on tv and says his company is doing great the networks that cover stock market trading aren't going to question them because it would create doubt. If there is doubt in the stock market everything goes down, then people stop watching these financial shows because its not making them money, and therefore these financial shows are shooting themselves in the foot by questioning anyone. Its a horrible cycle and a bunch of bs.

For those of you who haven't seen it, Jon was reacting to Rick Santelli in Wall Street complaining about the bailouts of the people who fell victim to the mortgage crisis. Rick got the people in the room with him to cheer for his statement that the government shouldn't bailout the people who made erroneous decisions about their homes. Jon Stewart then made the point that Santelli was a part of a network that also made erroneous decisions.

He is a COMEDIAN. He never claims to be 'fair and balanced' or anything; in fact, he calls his own show a 'fake' news show.

Either way, people should be thinking for themselves and not taking their political advice from a comedian. I'm not sure how often you watch, but Stewart mocks both sides; he's cynical towards politics in general. If it's so 'unfortunate', maybe you should find some 'right' comedian who's actually funny--I don't know any.

Did anybody remember the interview they had on the Daily Show?It was pretty smooth for a while,but then for one sentence Jon said fuck the cue cards and went all serious and said "This is not a game."I was actually moved by it, it was actually a really intense interview with a moments of comedic relief.Amazing how he destroyed Cramer.
