Irbe was "shaky" the first season(and a half maybe if you count 95-96 but sharks had already started to internally explode so...) after his injury. Whats more he was also doomed because anyone important to the sharks the year before were deemed to be disposable. Although a real question would be WHY wasnt irbe played more then one game vs detroit. Cuz wade got RAPED in that series.
@danynumero6 -- Irbe played at the beginning of this series and did well enough to win, but Calgary won games 3, 4 and 5 and Irbe's play was not very good in those games, and with the Sharks facing elimination in game 6 at home, coach Constantine went with Flaherty (who he coached in the IHL in Kansas City also) and Flaherty played well in that game and won it to force game 7 in Calgary, and thus Flaherty got the start in game 7 also. GO SHARKS!
If you can, can you show the game 6 between the Sharks vs Maple leafs in the 94 playoffs. People tell me that the Sharks were that close to scoring in OT and I want to see how close it was.
