I remember that game. I saw the whole thing happen live. Yadi getting thrown out, Albert and Braun getting hit. Tony exploding there. Fun season this 2011 was, and it ended with them being World Champs, couldn't ask for a better ending than that!!
Game 6 is one for the ages, never saw another game like that!! Has to be the best game in World Series history. Down to our last strike twice...unbelievable...let's finish this with Carp in game 7!
looks like we are really up against it now..have to win both at home without Carp pitching either....pray for rain so Carp can pitch game 7 if there is one
@TFSTACHE r u retarded the cards have a better lineup than the rangers including bench, bullpen, and coaching good luck with ur 6 game prediction ur gonna need it and while ur at it stop trying to sound like u no baseball cuz u dont and deal with the fact that the Brewers lost BA is the 2nd most important stat behind OPS
@teddybearvalcanoes yeah..Rangers had to steal this game to keep it close..I have no doubt that they can bounce back and take care of business in Texas with Craig in the lineup, this is a really important series for us, we win I think Pujols and La Russa are both back for next year, btw have you heard when Wainwright will be back?
@TFSTACHE Yes i do know it which is why the Cardinals are the best team this year. Only the best teams can come back from bottom of the celler 10 1/2 back beat the Phillies(who were the favorites to win the World Series) and a somewhat opponent called the Brewers
@teddybearvalcanoes Well the Cardinals won and I give them credit. But the cost was steep, in the fact that LaRussa retired and Pujols left. My best wishes to both men, and as for the Cardinals, heres hoping they can remain competitive.
@TFSTACHE Yes they did and u better. Now its time to show the world that the best team is baseball doesn't need one of the best players in history. This is coming from a die-hard Cardinals fan, We could of won it without Pujols. He didn't do much in the postseason, which is where everyone else stepped up. And as for you "remaining competitive" remark, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Your funny!
Sorry for double post, and i might be trolling to some brewers fans, but here it goes: so i was watching the game on tbs and guess what i saw. a brewers fan CRYING!!! why?? neither teeam should have fans crying over a game losing. if you lost the chance to the world series, try harder and do your best!!!!!!!!! :P
@gbear9726 your a fucking idiot...lets see, larussa has the second most wins out of any manager in history of baseball....if cardinals are such a joke, how come they are only 1 game back in wildcard and won 13 of last 15 games. its funny as im writing this pujols just hit a homerun LOL. great to be a cardinal..great to have 10 championships....how many do the brewers have huh,yep sucks. stop being jelous
@mlbbaseball5 im a brewer fan and i agree with mlbbaseball. although i do agree that larussa has his moments of mad genius type behavior. but u guys have the wins and u guys have the championships so i guess it works. better watch out the cuz roenicke could become a great manager as well.
@mlbbaseball5 Buddy, if the Cardinals are so good how come they have won only one World Series since LaRussa came to St. Louis? True they have won 10 championships to the Brewers none, but that is the past, this is the future. I am making a prediction and will say the Cardinals will not only win the Wild Card, but will beat the Phillies. Then they will face the Brew Crew in a 7 game series and lose.
@TFSTACHE ya but i think you forgot that winning the world series is hard and not necessarily the best team will win. Take the braves for example in the 90's. an amazing team with an amazing pitching staff. But they only managed to pull off one world series.
@mlbbaseball5 An amazing team with an amazing pitching staff. When you mention the Braves of the 90s I think of the legendary Greg Maddux who went undefeated on the road the same year the Braves won the WS. But this isn't the 90s, this is 2011. And winning the WS is hard, well la-dee-da. Sometimes you don't win based on a pitching staff, you win based on offense. And if last night was any indication, you could tell we are geared up for the postseason with a 3 homer game from Prince.
@mlbbaseball5 Your Cardinals are so full of themselves, that you guys honestly think that you can keep Pujols past this year. True we will likely lose Prince, but at least we are facing reality head on while you idiot Cardinal fans and players have your heads in the clouds. Enjoy making the playoffs because I can be absolutely sure in saying that unless you bring your balls for the playoffs you WONT last long.
@superfox14 Buddy, how I'm I wrong? If you look at my other comments you will see that I have been correct in my statements. Both the Brew Crew and the Cardinals have palyed excellent baseball to get to this point, but ultimately it will come down to who can lock down and pitch good, and quite frankly I just don't see that happening. Do I see a sweep, hell no. But I don't see it going more than 6 games. And its going to be so enjoyable to read your reaction once the Brew Crew make the WS.
@TFSTACHE You were already wrong about the Cards not lasting long. I'm sure we're not overly worried about facing the Brewers pitchers after facing the pitching of the Phillies. Mil advantage is home field and your 3rd and 4th starters haven't looked good at all. Cards still have a better offense (esp now with Holliday back and it's not bad with Craig) and the regular season was a tie at 9-9. Cards have more veteran playoff experience and that could prove to be the difference. We'll see.
@TFSTACHE Yea we won't last long were in the NLCS with a nobody team that is a waste of the Cardinals time. Anyways we have the momentum going into this series as we beat the team that was suppose to win the world series. And yes almost all world series championships are won with pitching. If you have no pitching your just going to give up home runs all day long Goldschmidt and Roberts remind you of anything? The Cards have one of the best pitching staffs and hitting lineups in all of baseball.
@teddybearvalcanoes What was that? One of the best pitching staffs and hitting lineups in baseball? I saw the hitting, I did not see the pitching. Granted we didn't pitch that well either, we at least came out with a win. And I seem to remember you calling us a nobody team. You may have had all the momentum in the world heading into last night, but now you better pray that the red birds can tie the series up. I hope they brought their balls today.
@TFSTACHE First of all, we had a 2nd year starter pitching in an NLCS game, so hes not going to do his best obviously, and our future cy young award winner Adam Wainwright was out for the season. If he didn't have Tommy John we would of won the central and we wouldn't be having this conversation right now. Wait till next year when you face Adam cuz you arn't going to do good against him next year cuz you guys never do. There is no need to pray cuz it is most likely they will win with Jackson.
@TFSTACHE Told you about your 3rd and 4th starters, Pujols had a huge game, anyway Cards have the split now headed into a big game 3, Carp is on full rest so hopefully he comes close to repeating his performance in game 5 vs Philly, Gallardo is 1-3 vs StL in reg season with a 5.70 era, his 2 starts in Sept vs the Cards he pitched 10 2/3 and gave up a combined 11 er, I like the Card's chances
@superfox14 *shakes head* The Cardinals wasted most of their offense on one game. You think I'm worried about what the stats say of Gallardo vs St. Louis. They should have saved those runs for when they were in St. Louis, now its just going to be ugly when you see the Brewers allow only seven runs in three games at St. Louis. I applude your Cardinals for at least not making it a sweep, if they win another game they'll have may team's full attention.
@TFSTACHE lol wasted offense - that's quite a theory there, you should be worried about Gallardo...he's your only starter who is pitching well, if Cards take game 3 it may not make it back to Mil
@superfox14 St. Louis, though, has been a thorn in the side of Gallardo his entire career, as he is just 1-7 lifetime versus the Cards with a 5.66 ERA in 11 starts, with all the damage Pujols does we probably only need him to hit well even if nobody else does
@TFSTACHE Where was your teams hitting in game 2? that's right blowing the Cards c**k! I sure in hell didnt see no pitching from them either!12 runs!12!!! thats a record against the brewers in a playoff game. But i got to give it 2 your "Brew Crew" for heating Pujols up for this series. There was no need to pray anyways cuz we won and will win atleast 2 of 3 in STL so you better pray that the Brewers will one in Milwaukee. I hope your teams players balls will drop and make the series interesting.
@teddybearvalcanoes Oh my god. This is it? Okay, let me put a few stats by you this season. Pujols batted .545 against Gallardo, but the rest of the Cardinals, and it includes guys like Matt Holiday, Lance Berkman, Yadier Molina, etc., those guys are batting .105 against him. What does that say about the team? It says that if Pujols doesn't bail them out like he has his ENTIRE career, then I fail to see them getting any runs at all against Gallardo.
@TFSTACHE So if im understanding you you are saying Pujols is tho only player on the cards? So Pujols won the 06 WORLD SERIES vs the Tigers by himself? IF he did why wasnt he MVP? For the Cardinals anyone on the team can step up for them at anytime while the only 2 that can for you is Prince Fielder who is batting .308 against Carp and Ryan Braun who is hitting .227. while your entire team is hitting .258 against him including Morgan and Weeks. Our team is actually hitting .268 against Gallardo
@teddybearvalcanoes Then why did SportsCenter, a nationally televised program for sports, say that THIS YEAR everyone on that joke of a team except Pujols, was hitting a COMBINED .105 against Gallardo. And by the way, we are probably going to lose this series, but hey at least we don't celebrate by putting the idiotic gesture known as the Rally Squrrel. If the Brew Crew can't beat the Red Birds, then I pray to God that the Texas Rangers will beat them.
@TFSTACHE assuming your stats are true, who the fuck cares what a team bats against a specific picher! Overall are team is better than the brewers. Oh and this joke of a team is kicking your ass in the NLCS. oh and about the rally squirrel, were just havin fun...its the fucking post season..your supposed to have fun. maybe if you take your head out of your ass, you can have an enjoyable post season too instead of being pissed that you might be eliminated real soon
@TFSTACHE yes I saw that too but on espn.go it said they were hitting .268 so yeah. How the fuck is the Rally Squirrel an idiotic gesture??? If it is the the Brewers mascot sliding down a slide is to! Most teams have something to do with a rally aka rally monkey for the Anglels. And I just hope the Brewers will try and make the series interesting. A Rangers-Cardinals World Series would be on of the best WS matchups in recent years....But we'll win! :)
@teddybearvalcanoes The Rally Squirrel is something they came up with on the fly. It is nice to know that by opening day it will be long forgotten by even the most die hard St. Louis fans. But I do get your point. I say the winner of game 5 will win the NLCS. Best of luck, you guys will need it considering Greinke's numbers against St. Louis in Busch Stadium. And don't even bother saying what Greinke's numbers this year on the road have been. You wouldn't be the first to mention them.
@TFSTACHE That is true most people will forget about it including me probably. No luck was needed considering we won big and we will win tonight facing Marcum who has been horrible in this postseason. We'll see you next year during the regular season. Because you told me not to mention them I will...vs. STL 11.2 IP 15 H 11 R 8 ER 4BB 6 K 1.63 WHIP 6.17 ERA Marcum vs STL 4.0 IP 7 H 5 R 5 ER 1 BB 1 K 2.00 WHIP 11.25 ERA not the guy I would want pitching to save the season. Its all resting on him
@teddybearvalcanoes Cards already killing Marcum..4-0 in the first...maybe should have been 5-0 since Pujols looked like he was safe...what a postseason for Freese!
@superfox14 Yea...its now 9-4!!! its a home run derby out there! I don't really care as long as the Cards finish the game with more runs than the team of "Monsters."
@teddybearvalcanoes we got 11 now...hope Pujols is ok, the Braun call makes up for the bad call earlier at the plate on Pujols...Mil defense falling apart yet again in this game...set a record for errors in the NCLS...reminds me of Detroit in the 2006 World Series
@superfox14 Its hard not to win with a team making that many errors. And if i'm correct, idk if I am or not, the MIL defense was one of the best during the regular season.
@mlbbaseball5 NO!!! I'm the same way sort of, but probably not as bad as you are. My grandparents aren't watching this because of the inconsistency of the Cards, which I can understand. My question to STL is "How long exactly can the bullpen carry us?"
@teddybearvalcanoes I heard during the game that they were 13th in the league...out of 16 teams..that's not very good..they make some nice plays but really butcher other ones
@superfox14 I just looked this up...the Brewers made 111 errors which ranks 22nd, compared to 116 to the Cardinals made which ranks 27th. A Cardinals-Rangers World Series will be epic hitting wise. Two teams that are in the top 5 in runs, hits, RBI, Batting AVG, OBP, and OPS. Pitching wise, it's going to be a bullpen series. Which is obviously ok with us since STL's bullpen has more innings pitched than the starters themselves!
@teddybearvalcanoes Cards win!! Last we'll hear from the Brewers for awhile, I have no idea about the Rangers except that they can really hit and apparently have one ace, at least the Cards have home field, hope we can bring home #11
@teddybearvalcanoes :) You just had to bring up the stats. While I will not support a team from the Central Division, I will say that the Cardinals have proved to be the better team in this series. And this is coming from a Brewer fan to the core. They have gotten in by good ball play, great defense, and most of all insurmountable offense. But I still wonder, what would have happened had the Braves won one more game or had STL lost one more before the playoffs began?
@teddybearvalcanoes In all honesty, I now believe that they might just win the WS yet. However, they will be facing a team that made Verlander, a 24 game winner, seem like a minor leaguer, not to mention an offense that had their #7 hitter hit 6 homeruns in the ALCS. This time you will need all the luck you can handle. GO TEXAS RANGERS!!!!
@mlbbaseball5 NEVER!!! They got in by luck, if Atlanta had won JUST ONE MORE GAME, they would have made the postseason and I would be laughing my ass off at how a classless, moronic team like the Cardinals could have even been considered to be a postseason calibur team.
@TFSTACHE how did they get in by luck. all in all, the cardinals had more wins than the braves at the end of the season. and we are in the world series so apparently we are a post season calibur team and how can you call the cardinals classless when the brewers have a guy like nyjer morgan
@mlbbaseball5 Because the Cardinals acted like a bunch of spoiled brats that complained about us cheating with our LED lights, with the shadows at their OWN BALLPARK for crying out loud. Your right in saying that the cardinals had more wins, but around August 24th, not so much. In fact, they were only 4 games over .500. I don't consider that to be post season calibur with 30 games left in the season. Rangers will win in 6, count on it.
@TFSTACHE LOL you are somewhat correct. I believe the Cardinals had a 6 hitter hit 4 home runs in this postseason. Plus if you were a true baseball fan (like me) you would've known that Cruz was always capable of power like that. The cards made a former Cy Young Award winner and probably future Cy Young winner look like they were in the Rookie League they were that bad. I will admit it (unlike other) that luck will be a part of it but it always is. Its going to be an epic series. C u next year!
@TFSTACHE You are as well funny. Lets compare Freese's stats to Cruz's during the postseason (Freese stats 1st) Batting average-.425 .243 Runs-8 8 Hits-17 9 Doubles-5 2 Home runs-4 6 RBI-17 13 OPS-1.315 1.084 Sluggin Percentage-.850 .784 If that doesn't prove to you that Cruz isn't all that he has been I don't know what is
@teddybearvalcanoes True the stats say Freese's is the better hitter, but the Rangers have had all of their guys from the leadoff man to the #9 hitter contribute to a whole bunch of runs. And while you guys have five good hitters, the Rangers have at least seven, I mean why else would they put up a guy who made MLB postseason history with 6 homers, in the 7th spot in the batting order? And if you say its because of batting average forget it, it is the postseason, screw batting averages.
@mlbbaseball5 Looks like I owe you an apology. Granted I did not give the Cardinals any chance of winning, they certainly provided a more thrilling WS because of it. And yes the better team won the NLCS, even if I didn't want to admit it. LaRussa went out the only way any manager should go out. By being on top as a World Series champion.
wow are you fucking kidding me???? Motte's pitch was totally intentional! He threw it at braun the first time and just missed him, and than he did it again and hit him. Fucking dont give me that bull shit.
Takashi wasn't trying to hit albert. Larussa is fucking retarded, complains about the lighting at Miller Park and complaining about the Brewers stealing signs. The only thing he should be complaining about is his team not winning the divsion or wild card. GO BREWERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@ThaCarterLilWayneIV Agreed. He tries to cover up the fact that THEY HIT BRAUN! The next three games are going to be the games where the Cardinals prove themselves or they FINALLY STOP COMPLAINING!!!! I say for every time LaRussa complains we hit a homerun.
LaRussa was good once, but St. Louis deserves a better manager. I believe Ozzie Guillen is going to the Marlins, and th White Sox are getting LaRussa. Then the Cards can get a respectable manager that can take them to the WS!
Ok it was a 83 mph slider v a 94 mph fastball. Motte was told from the top to do it if he wouldnt have been he would have stopped after he missed the first time
How many bones are in the hand and face? How many la russa YOU STUPID WHINING SON OF A BITCH! how many you prick?! how many you crying FUCK! All who support this guy and like this guy as a manager of their team are pieces of shit along with this ignorant FUCK. he must think he knows anatomy! haha yeah right, he doesnt know about bones, but he does know about DUI's.. PIECE OF SHIT, GO HAVE YOUR SELF SOME WINE since he whines, he is prolly like "Can I get some cheese to go along with my WHINE!?"
@wawaweewaAMP5 Dude and he acts super guilty, he talks fast then hets stubborn. That shows how guilty you are and it was a slider that hit pujols and a fastball that hit braun
First off, I am a fan of both clubs. I feel the pitch at Braun was CLEARLY INTENTIONAL!. you cannot duck a pitch that is coming straight at your back. You have no time to "duck" out of the damn way. The Pujols pitch simply just got away and nothing more. When you are competing for the division title, you intend to exaggerate the situation a tad bit. But, I do side with LA Russa in the fact that he was protecting his club and that is his job. No one can give him shit for that.
In one series he calls our fans idiots. Says we are cheating not once but twice. Uses his hardest throwing pitcher and throws at Braun twice. Says that throwing up and in is a dangerous pitch, there is little margin of error, and complains about his players getting injured from it previously. Yet he said they were trying to send Braun a message by throwing up and in TWICE in a row. Clearly he came at him intentionally and tried to lie about it..
ok if tony really thought that we intended to hit pujols he is clearly the biggest dumbshit ever!!! and they clearly intended to hit braun cuz the first one woulda hit braun if he didnt move and the second one hit him in the back. so for him to say its the other way around is so fucked up!
HEY TONY NICE DUI !! NICE EYE INFECTION YOU CIRCUS FREAK !! ALL HIS PLAYERS HAVE BEEN STEROID USERS !! LOOK BACK TO HIS OAKLAND DAYS, THE BASH BROTHERS !! PUJOLS AND HOLLIDAY ARE FUCKING JUICED !! THE BREWERS FUCKING OWN YOUR BITCH ASSES!!
HEY ST LOUIS, HOW MANY SUPER BOWLS HAVE YOU WON?!?! PACKERS FUCKING OWN YOU!!
@brewers123abc First off I agree with your Larussa bashing, but if you want to call scoreboard and start playing the Packers card. Just remember 1982.
@bkm1168 The Brewers in 1982 were not 100% either. Fingers was on the DL and ect. The Brewers had the better club in 82. they would have taken it had they been 100% healthy. No bones about it.
@bkm1168 10-0 Brewers. Game one of the 1982 WS. Not bad for a team that wasn't 100%. We just caught the short end of the stick is all. We lost to a great team and we should have found a way to win and the Brewers came up short. Enough said.
@SuperPackerBOY Can you believe these guys. The cardinals are blaming us for "cheating" at Miller Park. True, the Brewers home record is off the charts, but that does not mean we are cheating. LaRussa is a clown who makes his team act like a bunch of spoiled children when they are not in first place. Time for them to put up or shut up in this next series. All I can say is that I hope they brought their balls the next three days.
I think that the reporter should have asked him to say his ABCs with the logic that he is using. I am guessing that there may have been a XyXyLMNOP in there somewhere. So in summary, it is okay to hit their all star player because he is not our all star player - Well done baseball maffia leader.
Nice of Tony L to once again bean a batter after poor Albert gets hurt. He did the same thing to Gordon in KC. Can't your POS pitcher at least do it on the first try? One of these times the hammer will meet then nail when it comes to Tony's reckless behavior, both on and off the diamond.
Tony is working with a piece of shit bullpen. Talk about the playoffs? Franklin was trash and Holliday dropped a flyball. Take that out of the series and its a whole new ball game. WHEN ALL YOU IDIOTS MAKE IT TO THE MAJORS YOU CAN TALK SHIT. HE WAS A BETTER BALL PLAYER THAN ANY OF YOU ALL WERE.

the brewers threw at a players head. Weaver jd.ust got suspended for same thing. If your going to hit a guy that bats .300 every year with 30 jacks and is in a tight race with you, thats wrong. The Cards came back with a ball to the back not the head to their allstar. It wasnt necessary for Beautencourt to run the bases the way he di

ok first la russa complains about after the game the brewers untuck their shirts just because hes mad that they lost and second he said that they were cheating?? FUCKIN la russas a dumbass he just cant handle losing at all DIZ isssssss T-Plush country no fagss aloud!
the entire st. louis team is a bunch of bitchy cry babies. if they don't get their way they start whining, "these baseballs aren't right" "milwaukee's lights are too bright" "brandon phillips is mean" "they threw a ball too close to my baby pujols so we nailed the brewers star player in the back" "the fans are being mean to me" (wah wah wah) shut the hell up la russa! GO REDS
Bottom line LaRussa's act is getting old. "The ad boards are too bright, we weren't trying to hit Braun," quit you're bitchin'. Pretty embarrassing Tony.......
Lets not forget the fact that the biggest idiot in this whole scenario is MOTTE! What a busch league pitcher! If you make the bigs, you should be able to hit the batter with the FIRST pitch...when he knows its coming...not after 2 tries! BUM!
I am a Cardinal fan. I have been held hostage by LaDouchebag since 1996, and cant stand MOTTE!
I am a Brewer fan. La Russa is an ass. Always bitching and complaining about something. He always looks pissed off too. WE SHOWED you and your cardinals today La Russa!! Ha ha.. JERK!!
LaRussa is lying through his teeth here. After watching this last night I know why Brandon Philips said what he did about the cardinals and their d-bag manager
TLR is a fucking idiot and the cards are a bunch of whiny ass bitchs. Brandon phillips said it last year and it still holds true today. Crying about scoreboard lighting? Seriously?lmao the cards are such a fucking joke.
I have always heard around the baseball community people that know Tony Larussa say is a total stuck up, snob ! The guy is a real life genuine jerk that always thinks he's right !
Im not a Cardinals fan or a Brewers fan but I have respect for the Brewers and I have absolutely no respect whatsoever for the Cardinals because of this kind of stupid crap and I AM SICK OF TIRED OF ALBERT PUJOLS ALWAYS GETTING THE ATTENTION PUJOLS THIS, PUJOLS THAT! BLAH BLAH BLAH
"Those idiots up in the stands" - Tony. You mean fans? The ones who pay to bring their families to the game? The ones that pay your salary? Go get another DUI, better yet retire and put that law degree to use you bum. Waaaaaaaaa they wont pitch prince albert poop holes a perfect fastball down the middle, waaaaaaa they led's are too bright, waaaaaaaaaaa, waaaaaaaaaa. You guys really are bush league. Literally.
@kottyking god forbid Tony show some emotion for once! They clearly threw at him twice....it's called a part of the game. Don't be all but hurt that u don't have the best player in our generation
@majicman999 God forbid Tony know how to act like a grown man with integrity! Sorry we have LED lights in our stadium Tony! Sorry we pitch up and in to a respected hitter not low and in and in the middle so he can hit a home run! Tony, you bitch more than a woman. I'm not butt hurt(it's butt not but you retarded inbred) When you say the best player in our generation, you mean Braun??? Yea we got him it is nice. He's a classy player thanks for pointing that out.
@kottyking U are clearly a jackass....Braun has how many MVP'S?? How many world series has he won?? How many times has he been a part of a division winning team?? Thought so Moron
@majicman999 How old is Braun, how old is Pujols? Small market Vs big market. Money to buy a team is alot easier than BUILDING A team with prospects. So if we put Braun on the yankees, that makes him instantly better because they bought a team and won the world series? Amazing logic......This is brauns 4th year lets settle down before we proclaim Pujols as " the greatest ever" as was said to the comment i was replying to.
@kottyking hahaha 1) Pujols WAS a part of the cardinals farm system 2) the cardinals aren't even in the top ten in team salary and guess who isn't far behind them??? oh that'd be the brewers. Go ahead keep sounding more and more like a typical D bag who has no clue what they are talking about
@majicman999 Wow, you are retarded. I'm talking about what I thought we were talking about. The year you won the world series, which is what we were talking about, YOU WERE A TOP 10 salaried team and we were tots with a bunch of youngin's for rookies.
I remember that game. I saw the whole thing happen live. Yadi getting thrown out, Albert and Braun getting hit. Tony exploding there. Fun season this 2011 was, and it ended with them being World Champs, couldn't ask for a better ending than that!!

Your funny!

Cardinals are so bad they are such a joke along with larussa it's so funny how bad they are and how good the brewers are
gbear9726 5 months ago
@gbear9726 your a fucking idiot...lets see, larussa has the second most wins out of any manager in history of baseball....if cardinals are such a joke, how come they are only 1 game back in wildcard and won 13 of last 15 games. its funny as im writing this pujols just hit a homerun LOL. great to be a cardinal..great to have 10 championships....how many do the brewers have huh,yep sucks. stop being jelous
mlbbaseball5 5 months ago 13
@mlbbaseball5 im a brewer fan and i agree with mlbbaseball. although i do agree that larussa has his moments of mad genius type behavior. but u guys have the wins and u guys have the championships so i guess it works. better watch out the cuz roenicke could become a great manager as well.
zmichalo13 5 months ago
@mlbbaseball5 Buddy, if the Cardinals are so good how come they have won only one World Series since LaRussa came to St. Louis? True they have won 10 championships to the Brewers none, but that is the past, this is the future. I am making a prediction and will say the Cardinals will not only win the Wild Card, but will beat the Phillies. Then they will face the Brew Crew in a 7 game series and lose.
TFSTACHE 5 months ago
@TFSTACHE ya but i think you forgot that winning the world series is hard and not necessarily the best team will win. Take the braves for example in the 90's. an amazing team with an amazing pitching staff. But they only managed to pull off one world series.
mlbbaseball5 5 months ago
@mlbbaseball5 An amazing team with an amazing pitching staff. When you mention the Braves of the 90s I think of the legendary Greg Maddux who went undefeated on the road the same year the Braves won the WS. But this isn't the 90s, this is 2011. And winning the WS is hard, well la-dee-da. Sometimes you don't win based on a pitching staff, you win based on offense. And if last night was any indication, you could tell we are geared up for the postseason with a 3 homer game from Prince.
TFSTACHE 5 months ago
@mlbbaseball5 By the way, best of luck when your Cardinals face Halladay, Lee, Oswalt, and Hamels. You will need it.

@TFSTACHE Will we now? Cards win!
superfox14 4 months ago 2
@mlbbaseball5 Your Cardinals are so full of themselves, that you guys honestly think that you can keep Pujols past this year. True we will likely lose Prince, but at least we are facing reality head on while you idiot Cardinal fans and players have your heads in the clouds. Enjoy making the playoffs because I can be absolutely sure in saying that unless you bring your balls for the playoffs you WONT last long.
TFSTACHE 5 months ago
@TFSTACHE wow..you are wrong a lot
superfox14 4 months ago 2
@superfox14 Buddy, how I'm I wrong? If you look at my other comments you will see that I have been correct in my statements. Both the Brew Crew and the Cardinals have palyed excellent baseball to get to this point, but ultimately it will come down to who can lock down and pitch good, and quite frankly I just don't see that happening. Do I see a sweep, hell no. But I don't see it going more than 6 games. And its going to be so enjoyable to read your reaction once the Brew Crew make the WS.
TFSTACHE 4 months ago
@TFSTACHE You were already wrong about the Cards not lasting long. I'm sure we're not overly worried about facing the Brewers pitchers after facing the pitching of the Phillies. Mil advantage is home field and your 3rd and 4th starters haven't looked good at all. Cards still have a better offense (esp now with Holliday back and it's not bad with Craig) and the regular season was a tie at 9-9. Cards have more veteran playoff experience and that could prove to be the difference. We'll see.
superfox14 4 months ago 2
@TFSTACHE Yea we won't last long were in the NLCS with a nobody team that is a waste of the Cardinals time. Anyways we have the momentum going into this series as we beat the team that was suppose to win the world series. And yes almost all world series championships are won with pitching. If you have no pitching your just going to give up home runs all day long Goldschmidt and Roberts remind you of anything? The Cards have one of the best pitching staffs and hitting lineups in all of baseball.
teddybearvalcanoes 4 months ago
@teddybearvalcanoes What was that? One of the best pitching staffs and hitting lineups in baseball? I saw the hitting, I did not see the pitching. Granted we didn't pitch that well either, we at least came out with a win. And I seem to remember you calling us a nobody team. You may have had all the momentum in the world heading into last night, but now you better pray that the red birds can tie the series up. I hope they brought their balls today.
TFSTACHE 4 months ago
@TFSTACHE First of all, we had a 2nd year starter pitching in an NLCS game, so hes not going to do his best obviously, and our future cy young award winner Adam Wainwright was out for the season. If he didn't have Tommy John we would of won the central and we wouldn't be having this conversation right now. Wait till next year when you face Adam cuz you arn't going to do good against him next year cuz you guys never do. There is no need to pray cuz it is most likely they will win with Jackson.
teddybearvalcanoes 4 months ago
@TFSTACHE Told you about your 3rd and 4th starters, Pujols had a huge game, anyway Cards have the split now headed into a big game 3, Carp is on full rest so hopefully he comes close to repeating his performance in game 5 vs Philly, Gallardo is 1-3 vs StL in reg season with a 5.70 era, his 2 starts in Sept vs the Cards he pitched 10 2/3 and gave up a combined 11 er, I like the Card's chances
superfox14 4 months ago 2
@superfox14 *shakes head* The Cardinals wasted most of their offense on one game. You think I'm worried about what the stats say of Gallardo vs St. Louis. They should have saved those runs for when they were in St. Louis, now its just going to be ugly when you see the Brewers allow only seven runs in three games at St. Louis. I applude your Cardinals for at least not making it a sweep, if they win another game they'll have may team's full attention.
TFSTACHE 4 months ago
@TFSTACHE lol wasted offense - that's quite a theory there, you should be worried about Gallardo...he's your only starter who is pitching well, if Cards take game 3 it may not make it back to Mil
superfox14 4 months ago 5
@superfox14 Wow, thats original. You come up with that yourself or did your mom think of it for you?
TFSTACHE 4 months ago
@superfox14 St. Louis, though, has been a thorn in the side of Gallardo his entire career, as he is just 1-7 lifetime versus the Cards with a 5.66 ERA in 11 starts, with all the damage Pujols does we probably only need him to hit well even if nobody else does
superfox14 4 months ago
@TFSTACHE Where was your teams hitting in game 2? that's right blowing the Cards c**k! I sure in hell didnt see no pitching from them either!12 runs!12!!! thats a record against the brewers in a playoff game. But i got to give it 2 your "Brew Crew" for heating Pujols up for this series. There was no need to pray anyways cuz we won and will win atleast 2 of 3 in STL so you better pray that the Brewers will one in Milwaukee. I hope your teams players balls will drop and make the series interesting.
teddybearvalcanoes 4 months ago
@teddybearvalcanoes actually the record is 13...but that was vs the Cards as well! Game 6 of the 1982 World Series Cards beat the Brewers 13-1
superfox14 4 months ago
@superfox14 thanks for the correction :)
teddybearvalcanoes 4 months ago
@teddybearvalcanoes Oh my god. This is it? Okay, let me put a few stats by you this season. Pujols batted .545 against Gallardo, but the rest of the Cardinals, and it includes guys like Matt Holiday, Lance Berkman, Yadier Molina, etc., those guys are batting .105 against him. What does that say about the team? It says that if Pujols doesn't bail them out like he has his ENTIRE career, then I fail to see them getting any runs at all against Gallardo.
TFSTACHE 4 months ago
@TFSTACHE So if im understanding you you are saying Pujols is tho only player on the cards? So Pujols won the 06 WORLD SERIES vs the Tigers by himself? IF he did why wasnt he MVP? For the Cardinals anyone on the team can step up for them at anytime while the only 2 that can for you is Prince Fielder who is batting .308 against Carp and Ryan Braun who is hitting .227. while your entire team is hitting .258 against him including Morgan and Weeks. Our team is actually hitting .268 against Gallardo
teddybearvalcanoes 4 months ago
@teddybearvalcanoes Then why did SportsCenter, a nationally televised program for sports, say that THIS YEAR everyone on that joke of a team except Pujols, was hitting a COMBINED .105 against Gallardo. And by the way, we are probably going to lose this series, but hey at least we don't celebrate by putting the idiotic gesture known as the Rally Squrrel. If the Brew Crew can't beat the Red Birds, then I pray to God that the Texas Rangers will beat them.
TFSTACHE 4 months ago
@TFSTACHE assuming your stats are true, who the fuck cares what a team bats against a specific picher! Overall are team is better than the brewers. Oh and this joke of a team is kicking your ass in the NLCS. oh and about the rally squirrel, were just havin fun...its the fucking post season..your supposed to have fun. maybe if you take your head out of your ass, you can have an enjoyable post season too instead of being pissed that you might be eliminated real soon
mlbbaseball5 4 months ago
@TFSTACHE yes I saw that too but on espn.go it said they were hitting .268 so yeah. How the fuck is the Rally Squirrel an idiotic gesture??? If it is the the Brewers mascot sliding down a slide is to! Most teams have something to do with a rally aka rally monkey for the Anglels. And I just hope the Brewers will try and make the series interesting. A Rangers-Cardinals World Series would be on of the best WS matchups in recent years....But we'll win! :)
teddybearvalcanoes 4 months ago
@teddybearvalcanoes The Rally Squirrel is something they came up with on the fly. It is nice to know that by opening day it will be long forgotten by even the most die hard St. Louis fans. But I do get your point. I say the winner of game 5 will win the NLCS. Best of luck, you guys will need it considering Greinke's numbers against St. Louis in Busch Stadium. And don't even bother saying what Greinke's numbers this year on the road have been. You wouldn't be the first to mention them.
TFSTACHE 4 months ago
@TFSTACHE don't need luck when we have the Brewers making 4 errors, the Cards' bullpen has been outstanding, looking forward to game 6 on Sunday
superfox14 4 months ago
Its all resting on him
teddybearvalcanoes 4 months ago
@teddybearvalcanoes Cards already killing Marcum..4-0 in the first...maybe should have been 5-0 since Pujols looked like he was safe...what a postseason for Freese!
superfox14 4 months ago
@superfox14 Hope Jackson can give us 5 or 6 good innings and then turn it over to the pen to finish this off
superfox14 4 months ago
@superfox14 Yea...its now 9-4!!! its a home run derby out there! I don't really care as long as the Cards finish the game with more runs than the team of "Monsters."
teddybearvalcanoes 4 months ago
@teddybearvalcanoes we got 11 now...hope Pujols is ok, the Braun call makes up for the bad call earlier at the plate on Pujols...Mil defense falling apart yet again in this game...set a record for errors in the NCLS...reminds me of Detroit in the 2006 World Series
superfox14 4 months ago
@superfox14 Its hard not to win with a team making that many errors. And if i'm correct, idk if I am or not, the MIL defense was one of the best during the regular season.
teddybearvalcanoes 4 months ago
@teddybearvalcanoes is it weird that with a 5 run lead in the 7th, im still nervous as hell, lol
mlbbaseball5 4 months ago
@mlbbaseball5 NO!!! I'm the same way sort of, but probably not as bad as you are. My grandparents aren't watching this because of the inconsistency of the Cards, which I can understand. My question to STL is "How long exactly can the bullpen carry us?"
teddybearvalcanoes 4 months ago
@teddybearvalcanoes I heard during the game that they were 13th in the league...out of 16 teams..that's not very good..they make some nice plays but really butcher other ones
superfox14 4 months ago
@superfox14 I just looked this up...the Brewers made 111 errors which ranks 22nd, compared to 116 to the Cardinals made which ranks 27th. A Cardinals-Rangers World Series will be epic hitting wise. Two teams that are in the top 5 in runs, hits, RBI, Batting AVG, OBP, and OPS. Pitching wise, it's going to be a bullpen series. Which is obviously ok with us since STL's bullpen has more innings pitched than the starters themselves!
teddybearvalcanoes 4 months ago
@teddybearvalcanoes Cards win!! Last we'll hear from the Brewers for awhile, I have no idea about the Rangers except that they can really hit and apparently have one ace, at least the Cards have home field, hope we can bring home #11
superfox14 4 months ago 18
@teddybearvalcanoes :) You just had to bring up the stats. While I will not support a team from the Central Division, I will say that the Cardinals have proved to be the better team in this series. And this is coming from a Brewer fan to the core. They have gotten in by good ball play, great defense, and most of all insurmountable offense. But I still wonder, what would have happened had the Braves won one more game or had STL lost one more before the playoffs began?
TFSTACHE 4 months ago
@teddybearvalcanoes In all honesty, I now believe that they might just win the WS yet. However, they will be facing a team that made Verlander, a 24 game winner, seem like a minor leaguer, not to mention an offense that had their #7 hitter hit 6 homeruns in the ALCS. This time you will need all the luck you can handle. GO TEXAS RANGERS!!!!
TFSTACHE 4 months ago
@TFSTACHE you have said we needed luck the last two series, just admit were a good team already
mlbbaseball5 4 months ago
@mlbbaseball5 NEVER!!! They got in by luck, if Atlanta had won JUST ONE MORE GAME, they would have made the postseason and I would be laughing my ass off at how a classless, moronic team like the Cardinals could have even been considered to be a postseason calibur team.
TFSTACHE 4 months ago
@TFSTACHE haha but cards are a postseason calibur team. you and your IF's. we could IF all day long.
srcetme 4 months ago 3
@TFSTACHE how did they get in by luck. all in all, the cardinals had more wins than the braves at the end of the season. and we are in the world series so apparently we are a post season calibur team and how can you call the cardinals classless when the brewers have a guy like nyjer morgan
mlbbaseball5 4 months ago 3
@mlbbaseball5 Because the Cardinals acted like a bunch of spoiled brats that complained about us cheating with our LED lights, with the shadows at their OWN BALLPARK for crying out loud. Your right in saying that the cardinals had more wins, but around August 24th, not so much. In fact, they were only 4 games over .500. I don't consider that to be post season calibur with 30 games left in the season. Rangers will win in 6, count on it.
TFSTACHE 4 months ago
@TFSTACHE LOL you are somewhat correct. I believe the Cardinals had a 6 hitter hit 4 home runs in this postseason. Plus if you were a true baseball fan (like me) you would've known that Cruz was always capable of power like that. The cards made a former Cy Young Award winner and probably future Cy Young winner look like they were in the Rookie League they were that bad. I will admit it (unlike other) that luck will be a part of it but it always is. Its going to be an epic series. C u next year!
teddybearvalcanoes 4 months ago
@TFSTACHE You are as well funny. Lets compare Freese's stats to Cruz's during the postseason (Freese stats 1st) Batting average-.425 .243 Runs-8 8 Hits-17 9 Doubles-5 2 Home runs-4 6 RBI-17 13 OPS-1.315 1.084 Sluggin Percentage-.850 .784 If that doesn't prove to you that Cruz isn't all that he has been I don't know what is
teddybearvalcanoes 4 months ago
@teddybearvalcanoes True the stats say Freese's is the better hitter, but the Rangers have had all of their guys from the leadoff man to the #9 hitter contribute to a whole bunch of runs. And while you guys have five good hitters, the Rangers have at least seven, I mean why else would they put up a guy who made MLB postseason history with 6 homers, in the 7th spot in the batting order? And if you say its because of batting average forget it, it is the postseason, screw batting averages.
TFSTACHE 4 months ago
@mlbbaseball5 Looks like I owe you an apology. Granted I did not give the Cardinals any chance of winning, they certainly provided a more thrilling WS because of it. And yes the better team won the NLCS, even if I didn't want to admit it. LaRussa went out the only way any manager should go out. By being on top as a World Series champion.

Clearly he came at him intentionally and tried to lie about it..

the brewers threw at a players head. Weaver jd.ust got suspended for same thing. If your going to hit a guy that bats .300 every year with 30 jacks and is in a tight race with you, thats wrong. The Cards came back with a ball to the back not the head to their allstar. It wasnt necessary for Beautencourt to run the bases the way he di

the entire st. louis team is a bunch of bitchy cry babies. if they don't get their way they start whining, "these baseballs aren't right" "milwaukee's lights are too bright" "brandon phillips is mean" "they threw a ball too close to my baby pujols so we nailed the brewers star player in the back" "the fans are being mean to me" (wah wah wah) shut the hell up la russa!

LaRussa is lying through his teeth here. After watching this last night I know why Brandon Philips said what he did about the cardinals and their d-bag manager

@kottyking god forbid Tony show some emotion for once! They clearly threw at him twice....it's called a part of the game. Don't be all but hurt that u don't have the best player in our generation
majicman999 6 months ago
@majicman999 God forbid Tony know how to act like a grown man with integrity! Sorry we have LED lights in our stadium Tony! Sorry we pitch up and in to a respected hitter not low and in and in the middle so he can hit a home run! Tony, you bitch more than a woman. I'm not butt hurt(it's butt not but you retarded inbred) When you say the best player in our generation, you mean Braun??? Yea we got him it is nice. He's a classy player thanks for pointing that out.
kottyking 6 months ago
@kottyking U are clearly a jackass....Braun has how many MVP'S?? How many world series has he won?? How many times has he been a part of a division winning team?? Thought so Moron
majicman999 6 months ago
@majicman999 How old is Braun, how old is Pujols? Small market Vs big market. Money to buy a team is alot easier than BUILDING A team with prospects. So if we put Braun on the yankees, that makes him instantly better because they bought a team and won the world series? Amazing logic......This is brauns 4th year lets settle down before we proclaim Pujols as " the greatest ever" as was said to the comment i was replying to.
kottyking 6 months ago
@kottyking hahaha 1) Pujols WAS a part of the cardinals farm system 2) the cardinals aren't even in the top ten in team salary and guess who isn't far behind them??? oh that'd be the brewers. Go ahead keep sounding more and more like a typical D bag who has no clue what they are talking about
majicman999 6 months ago
@majicman999 Wow, you are retarded. I'm talking about what I thought we were talking about. The year you won the world series, which is what we were talking about, YOU WERE A TOP 10 salaried team and we were tots with a bunch of youngin's for rookies.
