There is an inert level of pesticides and other non-organic chemicals in the soil. Over the life of a boneless pig (with is roughly 115% that of a boned big), the inert chemicals add up. Tests are ongoing to create "sanitized" environments for organic boneless pigs, but it's being opposed by lobbyists and protesters on account that it's not a free-range environment.
