You can buy hole punching tools for book binding. They are called Japanese Screw Punches and they come with a set of tips of different sizes. They work by pushing down on them and the internal action turns the drill to make a hole. They will go through paper, card and board suitable for book covers. My advice is to make sure you buy a really good one because the cheap Chinese knock offs are exactly that and you will be disappointed because they just don't cut well or make a tidy hole.
It would be great if I had one of those hole punching thingys, but I don't, does anybody know where I can get my hands on one? I live in Singapore by the way. Or where can I find them on the net? What is it called? Thanks
I wonder what that tool is called, I'd like to acquire one. (The website didn't seem to have any information about it - at least not in the 'book-binding' section.)
What does one even google to find it "drilling hole punch, for Japanese book binding"? I wonder if that would work ... hm.
So relaxing... I think you should put on some horrible music so I can concentrate better. Only joking, this is a lovely set of videos. I'll be making some with my friends in the next couple of days!
Thank you so much for this new set of tutorials. I have used your previous tutorials to make several books that I am very pleased with. Can you tell me what the single punch tool is called and where it can be obtained in the UK?
Thanks for sharing.

Disappointing there is no explanation, at least there was no (crappy) music with subtitled explanations like you see most the time these days.
