actually u dont have to raise your hands they do it to say they made a point (but if the judges didnt count the point their really is no reason to raise your hand) and plus i have a red belt in jui jutsu and a black belt in TKD and both have helped me out equally so no one martial art is better than the other

@kylaxcry i never said it had ill intent, i have fought and competed in TKD for 9 yrs, i even competed in the US open, and for the most part fighters do it so judges can acknowledge that they are scoring points.

I used to be proud of my BB but now hardly even mention my Dan anymore.

Young fighters, those cool kicks used to break boards do have practcal applications & use a damn axe kick from time to time.

I`m looking for a battle from Beijing 2008 where Turkey fought against USA[I believe, not sure] and lost.

Though the Turkish guy did a nifty series of kicks I`d like to watch again.

Time for some of this body armour to come off. The shin & arm guards should go & the upper body protection should either go or be thin enough to allow a punch to at least hurt & a decent kick to cause a significant amount of pain. I believe kicks to the legs should be introduced as well. I havn't competed since the 1993 and I think Olympic inclusion has actually damaged TKD. Judging is worse than ever and I hate to say it, but so are the fighters. The headgear needs to stay though.

Yeha and Mix Martial Arts should be in the olympic Program instead of box and wrestling, or shoulb be like ITF Taekwondo,......... DUDE..... come on.! WTF Taekwondo had bad judging...... That´s it.!!, Modification of rules has been real good for the sport... only the fucking legg/knee blocking is that sucks.... The judges should be better...that´s it.!!!

No KOs during the games... fighters fallng down left and right... fighters simply bhoucing off of switch back kicks instead of being doubled over in pain... fighters standing and looking at each other for 10s of seconds on end... refs not letting fighters fight out of clinches... fighters fixing their leg & arm guards every few seconds... all lead to terrible judging because their was little action to judge. Bad fighters with little imagination (cont)

... hands being held ridiculously low and not being made to pay a price. The best way to win a bout is to hurt your opponent, KO them or intimidate them until they give up. Take it out of the judges hands altogether. WTF was badass back in my day (late 80's - 90's) & the ITF was simply a joke. That has changed a bit but TKD has to evolve and it has to be entertaining to get coverage. Neither ITF or WTF are entertaining anymore and at this point I'd like to see it replaced with K-1 rules...

with MMA gloves instead of boxing gloves. Open it up to all Kicky/Punchy Martial Arts. That would be better than losing TKD out of the Olympics. Nobody cares about boxing anymore, so yes, Boxing, Judo & Wrestling should be replaced by UFC style MMA.

TKD/KF/All Karates are terrble on their own and don't represent the real MA at all. That's why a unified system under K-1 would work better for all.
