I don't understand the whole chick car argument. I'm 5'7" and 19 years old and drive a 1995 Miata. You can call it whatever you want, but it is still a well-balanced, two seater, convertible sports car. Anyway, I'd rather have random women interested in my car than random guys.

In a few years, I plan on buying and modifying a second Miata for track use.

I”ve had a ’99 for a little over a year now with 108K miles on the odo. I LOVE the car. Blast to drive; excellent on gas; and just plain AWESOME with the rear wheel drive and practically ZERO turning radius. Wonderful ride. You should pick it up if you can spare the extra cash.

A Miata passes wreckers on the side of the road loading up Mercedes, Jaguars and Porsches and keeps on going. I am mid 50's, 5'11' @230 lbs and I fit just fine. At my age it can be tough getting in and out because it sits so low. Don't know how comfortable it would be for a larger guy. Mine is a 93 and I have the seat all the way back. Starting in 2006 they increased the size slightly. My car is just a toy and I drive it on those beautiful days. I wouldn't trade my Miata for anything.

Miatas are amazing cars! I love my '97 and I'll never get rid of it. I would not trade my Miata for anything, even an Aston Martin, and I LOVE Aston Martins. But nothing makes you feel like a Miata does. It makes you feel like you're the best driver in the world and nobody else matters.

They are great little cars. I had a 96 for three years. My buddies would tease me until they drove it and then they understood why I didn't pay attention to their teasing. One said that it felt like the car was begging him to keep on the gas pedal, especially in circumstances where he wouldn't even normally thing about it like left hand turns.

I test drove this car (just for the fun, I pretend to buy cars so can I can drive them) and it was really fun to drive. Its not a rocket. but its fast enough to pass or merging to into the freeway. For the money is a great value, but its for big guys, I'm 6'1 kind of built(245punds) and I did look kind of weird. But for anyone smaller than me it will be great.

Great car! I had mine for three years but traded it. It is more of a summer car so if you do live where it is cold a lot, I recommend the hardtop. The rag top should be for areas where it is warmer year round. It is a fun car to drive.

These things are fantastic track cars. You definitely need to upgrade the sway bars and springs (basic tools), but after that, these are bullet-proof fun for the track. They carry huge cornering speeds, bettering even exotics and are dirt cheap to keep up.

Every Boxster and Z3/Z4/M-Roadster owner I know that got into trackdays ended up selling them for Miatas. Those cars are fantastic but they don't hold up to abuse, are unreliable and cost far more than anyone imagines to maintain

yeah definitely, Miatas are so much more reliable than mercedes, porsche, and bmw, and they are still fun to drive, I probably wouldn't buy one because i like speed.

The Miata is a lot of great sports car for very little money.

I just bought a 99 Miata and added a style/roll bar, an exhausts, and a racing steering wheel.

it's Awesome.

Don't underestimate a Miata just because it's small, cute and weak.

Pound for pound, or dollar for dollar...the Miata is arguably the best sports car.
