  • great video. explosiveness is what i'm after. gonna incorporate this into my workout. already love the single leg rdl. i use dumbbells with it instead of bar, i find they are harder to stabilize.

  • if you dont go lateral ur ass is in trouble lol

  • Oh my god.. So much bullshit!

  • @nandoanalog how so?

  • @eworm31 For starters, jumping onto a rubber ball thingy, can only be dangerous, and will NOT build any "core" muscle. Actually, none of these exercises will buld any muscle. They will make your knees hurt sooner or later though.

  • @nandoanalog The fact that you're searching videos like this means that you only have a notion of these things..

  • @SkewLT You're right. No expert by any means, but I do have a notion.

  • @nandoanalog Google the meaning of the word 'notion'.

He's a personal trainer and would have been an athlete, so I think he knows what he's doing.

  • @aLlamaWithARifle yeah true, it was just a figure of speech though.

  • would it be hard to not swing our arms? and by the way, is it ok if we use a weight vest?

  • destorm looks like hakeem nicks

  • tnx mayne :D

  • @007matrix14 high reps and low difficulty/intensity is for toning, low reps high difficulty/intensity is for strength/mass.

  • @footy005 WRONG WRONG WRONG! You can not 'tone' muscle, you can only gain muscle, toning muscle is a total myth. High reps may use a few more calories and may burn a tiny bit more fat but certainly wont 'tone' muscle. Muscle either gets bigger or small you can not make a muscle more firm without making it bigger. High reps vs low reps doesn't matter, both will build muscle mass it's down to personal preference, some people find high reps work better, others find low reps are better.

  • dud i got a serious doubt....

u say we have to do 10 to 12 reps, but isnt that for muscle mass and size?

Shouldnt we keep the reps low and the sets high for strength? I am an athlete, so i dont want mass. i only want strength, so what should be the no. of reps?

Right now i do most of the exercises at about 3-6 reps for many sets. Is that right????

  • @007matrix14 Doesn't matter, you can't make tone a muscle, it either gets bigger or smaller. If you want more strength you will have to get a little bigger. The only way to gain muscle is to 'stress' the muscle, use as much weight as you can for the number of reps you want to do in order to stress the muscle properly.

  • @aLlamaWithARifle thanks a lot dud....

  • that was COOL

  • This guy is right plyometrics will do wonders. Take a look at my channel to see the best explosive exercise ever barbell jump squats.

  • For romanian I usually do a 100 lb D-bell in each hand.

  • @DarkSwan641 cool story bra

  • @daxpwn just was saying cuz that was outside his range of acceptable weight but it works for me.

  • This Guy is absolutely incredible thx for all the tips I miss this destorm :(

  • lol "you have to go lateral. if you don't go lateral yo ass is in trouble"

  • Hey those all look really great. Thanks for the tips. Can't wait to try em out.

  • dude nice video alot of good stuff in here...u spelled simultaneously wrong lol

  • learn how to talk bro

  • I thought no one is perfect???

  • Practice doesnt make perfect, it makes permanent. Perfect practice makes perfect.

  • @alieninventions but if perfect practice makes perfect... then what makes perfect practice?

  • @enzowars Permanent. lol.

  • when he said practice does not make perfect i thought the fk?

  • i feel like this was made for me hahaha keep makin these vids man i'm gonna try this workout tomorrow!

  • @joro808 i mean 1:59

  • i would love for him to rain me real rap raw

  • 13 people payed for the "truth about quickness" program

  • I have to agree that just being a good athlete does not make you a qualified coach.

  • destorm i too a 45pnd barbell n landed on the ground u wrong

  • corn stability.

  • the 1leg jum-squats are quite crazy, i mean; good luck knees!!

  • @koutsompiskoto Have you been training?

Im not sure this exercise is for beginners, maybe train lightly in the gym or outside building up some tolerence for your body so you dont injure your self, maybe 1 week by training lightly before you attend these exercise.

If you are not a beginner than forget everything i said.

    :P

  • He said ACL and MCL muscles. Those are not muscles, They're ligaments that really can not be strengthened. I do agree that latrel movement drill are important but I would not recommend using any addition weight. Keep in mind the body will respond the same whether you add wieght or not. safety should always be first. if more resistance is desired the use of resistance band is more recommended. other than that, there is some good stuff here!

  • this guys the real deal his popularity is well deserved

  • * training videos XD

  • I love these videos you post, keep up the weight lifting videos.

  • imma try dis out

  • Comment removed

  • If you don't go lateral yo ass is in trouble..

  • Umm, that's not very good form. Props to you for makin' a video tho....

  • Me and this guy have the same exact build..

  • @birdhousehero i dream of being as athletic looking as this guy but i have too much body fat so im trying to burn it all off with circuit training and proper eating and that then turn what muscle there is athletic

  • Your ass is in trouble if you don't do this.

  • Who's that guy in the background? he's like recording everything Storm's doing? mmmmmhhh.....

  • Do you have any workouts with out equipment?

  • Great workouts. You know whatsupp

  • Did anyone else pick up that he called the ACL and meniscus muscles? lol. Oh and for the people asking if this training will stunt growth, it won't, that's typically associated with intense weight training in children, even still it has been shown that if the weights regime is stopped, children display an accelerated rate of growth and 'catch up' to their genetically determined height.

  • @BenjaminT53 Haha. I here you. But I think he ment AND muscles (i.e., the supporting muscles). Just playing devil's advocate....

  • bboyfluffybunny - u can do gym at 12 yo. but plyometric exercises like deoth jumps should be done at 16. im 14 i did depth jumps and my vertical increased 15cm (6 inches) in 3 weeks. So u can do plyometrics any age

  • How old do you hav to be to do these exercises? I'm 13, can I start these now?

  • "if you don't go lateral your ass is in trouble"

    nuff said

  • hahahaa, he looks the guy from how high, all he needs is the skid mark of buddha on his forehead

  • dont put a 45 pound bar on yo shoulders and then wind up on the ground and then comment on me tellign me i did it wrong

  • How often should i do this workout and can it be done in addition to weightlifting? Should i do it on a cardio day?

  • lmao i love this guy

  • tipp nummer eins vertraue niemals einem der schwach ist

  • i wrote down this workout immediately after watching this

  • You can also use dumbells for domains

  • simOtaniously Lmao

  • great exercises. I think every overhead and every single leg exercise is good

  • this guy should act full stop he would be funny as fck lol

  • man, i tried it the bosu ball one at my gym and ate major sh*t the first time i tried it... bosu slipped under me, landed on my back first, then neck, and then back of head. I didn't let that deter me though, I got pretty good at it after i did it a couple of times.

Note: do put a pad under to help prevent the bosu from sliding out under you.

  • @stikoganja that happened to me too the first time i tried it. now i just use a couple of 25lb plates and a mat to secure it. it scared the shit out of me haha

  • Pretty good. Nice prehab excercises. Remember to close your hips on the RDL. :-)

  • LOL "I HIT THE GYM, i MEAN I HIT THE FUKIN GYM"

  • Comment removed

  • lol u spelt simultaneously incorrectly.

  • @PharaohDaniyal

hey let me guess your age !! >16 right?

  • @Sh4productions I am exactly sixteen years of age. I don't understand how age is relative :S.

  • i like the idea with the jumps on the bosu ball. Nothing brings out inner athleticism like the fear of busting your face

  • i dont have a BOSU at home. what kind of thing can you use instead of this?

i tried it with pillows... didnt work that good...

  • For the one legged jump, do you know where you can buy the platforms (I can only find the static boxes).

  • i'm 17 and does it hinder me from growing taller by doing this exercise???

  • @dzungtrailang na man

  • @dzungtrailang it's good to work out once hour a day 5 days a week; just don't go overboard. He answers this question in his weight loss videos somewhere... Think he said no earlier than 14, so you're fine.

  • @dzungtrailang lol some ppl cant grow no more after they r 17 just like me lol

  • @liudxdx It has been proven that you still can APPEAR to be taller even after your growing ages. If you constantly stretch (especially your spine), you could grow an inch or two. Exercising also helps.

  • @taperolls oh well it wont work on me then because im trying to build muscle and ive been training for like 2 years and ppl say i look shorter

  • dat be reeeeel good mang! I wud like to axe u sum mo quesjuns cuz u be so mutch mo smartor thAn my coches be! tanks mang! did u reed dis stuff in a book or u be gong to skool for dis. u hav a dagree in kaneesiologee r sumfin? yo techneek be reel good and u so correctated!

  • The 1st and 3rd exercise I'm doing them every day starting from today lol

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH!! now let's see who's faster on the track team. them still

  • PEOPLE- explosion is mental... yes you can train your body to be more explosive but if your only so strong you can only be so explosive. strength training is a must.

  • @RedKrystal37 'THANK YOU!"

  • man your my inspiration

  • On the "double hop to unstable landing", how many sets & reps am I supposed to do?

  • @archielinn 10-12 reps and 4 sets

  • what would you recommend for my 7th gradegirls basketball players

  • ok for the single leg plyo box jump ur landing a hard is that what u want ??

  • i just want to say thank u for ur video it made me way more explosive im 5,9 245 playing football ROLB i used to run a 4.9 but after a good month i dropped down to a 4.7 40 time as far as my latteral movement ive notticed improvement turning the hips chasing the ball down all in all great video.

  • Most people do not know the history of explosive training, I do and it will cause you more injuries than you can imagine. Stick with slow controlled movements with weights or machines and you will gain all the fitness you need. Does anyone really need to jump over a chair or onto a car or post in a real life situation, no. So why risk hurting yourself doing these idiotic movements?

  • Is this good swimming

  • When he started talking he reminds me of Jay from The 40 Year Old Virgin.

  • @MasterofPuppetsx I'm sorry but that didn't make sense. Start "ed" is past tense it should be " When he started talking he remind "ed" me

  • dude youre awesome im 14 when did you start and how long did it taKe you to get so fit? like when did you start cuz i ran a marathon when i was 13 but imma do it again and i wanna see how far i can push my self and how much i can excel

  • "i mean i hit the fuckking gym!" lmao 0:32

  • thanks for all tutorials. great stuff

  • DANG!, you're something!, everything looks pretty good except for the bosu thing, which seems to be a bit challenging! I'm not complainin'! I mean, if I loose a tooth... i got a bunch of those.... same for a bone, if I broke one.. hell who cares right.. I have 206 total!!

  • i get 3/5 exercises from my coach. whatchusayin.

  • thanks. Ill be doing these alot :)

  • Great vid, going to incorporate into my workout

  • I mean i hit the fckin gym

  • I love this mini gym :D

  • thanks :D

  • improving yourself with these exercises do make a difference and you will notice it. epsecially if you never did this work before.

  • thanks for your core videos :), i realized during b-ball training sessions that my core is not trained as it is supposed to be, during very hard sessions I realize my whole body is like collapsing, jump shots getting off, thanks for your videos, will train my core more :)

  • im 13 years old 160pounds 6`0, do u think this type of traing will fuck my groth, any one please tell

  • @Luigi555551 if your 6'0 at 13 you shouldnt really have to worry about your growth, but it you do alot of weight when your doing workouts if could cut it slow your growth down, but with the workout he just did in the video you shouldnt be using alot of weight anyways so it shouldnt mess with your growth that much

  • @NinjAssassins thanks man

  • @Luigi555551 firstly no. and second, its sounds like your already huge hahaha

  • My god, these are amazing. I bow to you.

  • thank you destorm! i wish i lived in new york so i could work out with you!

  • Thanks

  • I recently incorporated some similar exercises to my own training, made a big difference to overall performance. It makes me laugh how when I first started training I was making so many mistakes, yet I still have so so much to learn.

  • dude you have inspired me to get fit thank you

  • i'm romanain

  • Please make more videos on explosivness, I loved this , great for soccer too,

  • This dude is legit. My collegiate football team strength and conditioning coaches live by single leg excersices. Its done wonders for my speed and explosivness.

  • @kalkat02 well most sport is played on one leg not too, so its a good principle

  • great workouts

  • I'm sure you you probably already have a video on this, but what\ so you recomend for a straight Agi workout. Something that helps with reaction time and fast twitch musles.

  • I love the SLDL's. I use a DB when i do them. Pair these with single leg box squats and youll be a BEAST. Single leg box squats are the holy grail for explosiveness. Yes i DO prefer them to barbell squats. I see much greater results.

  • destorm rocks

  • land softly on the plyos

  • @jaleed Yep good point. I think in this vid it doesnt matter too much as ive used those types of boxes before and they really absorb impact nicely. They sink down when you land.

  • you are sooo right!!!

  • how many sets and reps of bosu jumps should 1 do?

  • how many reps and sets of the bosu jumps should 1 do?

  • really good stuff, I've seen a few of your vids, and I appreciated the effort and time which is really well received by me and others.

  • your videos have thanked me alot man, thanks for posting dont stop

  • Great work buddy.. Keep up the good work

  • nice video! I've been looking for something like this.

  • You're very good mate . Much appreciated for your efforts to make this vid :)

  • you dont go latteral yo ass in in trouble ahaha great

  • "practice does not make perfect, proper practice makes perfect" i totally agree, my first guitar instructor always told me that to do something perfectly, you must practice is perfectly.

  • bro, awesome vid, great info and delivered in a"Keep it real" way...mad props

  • i hit the fuckin gym! haha that was funny as hell

  • i can squat 50 pounds, i'm a beast

  • lol this guy chats so much shit

  • this guy is the shit because he is like, if you can do this, your a fucking beast... gives you a really good goal to shoot for 5 stars

  • @thecookiemontsta i had same problem 3 times last one was a year ago and surgery, u should just focus stretching a lot and rope jump toe rise but mostly stretching damn thats a hard injury but I`m 35 and returned back playin basketball just train right and rest well....

  • I'm recovering from a ruptured achillies tendon, its been over a year and I want to know what exercises I should focus on? Thanks for your time, you're awsome for doing your thing!
