What you need to be aware of is that Orochi can attack twice, so you may need to heal every turn, or every other turn, depending on what level you are. It switches between regular physical attacks and fire breath. It rarely does two fire breaths at once.
Honestly, I haven't played in a while, so I can't really suggest any good weapons for your team. Though I think your weapons are a bit mediocre for the point you're at now. Try looking for any stronger weapons.
Also, for strategies, you'll want to lower Orochi's physical defense, so use Sap. If you have access to Defense, still use Sap. It's more effective on single targets. Also, try using ice attacks. I believe they deal more damage.
Defense buffs are nice too, unless you prefer speed over defense. Orochi isn't that difficult a boss, so you shouldn't have too much trouble.
Looked to see how much EXP you needed before fighting Orochi. Maybe for some strategies, too.
Uh, can you help me out? I currently have as my other party members a Fighter with Power Claws, a Thief with a Chain Whip (?), and a Sage with a Mace. Will this team work?
One word for this fight: Surround. Cast that and all Orochi can get you with is her fire.
