  • Well, it is a brilliant concept, but in the 1.1 update, melons no longer need tilled soil to grow. I guess you can keep tilling the soil, to keep the concept alive, but there is no need for it now...

  • awesome

  • @soccerferrari Wow, can you guys stop advertising your channels on my video? Like fuck, have some common/professional courtesy. If you want to share your work through me, you send me a video response.

  • You are cool man!

  • @omenakiizzeli Thank you.

  • @thingthug Btw, what you use to edit?

  • u can check my channel for best one

  • In 1.1 melons can grow on plain dirt

  • @desertedham37 Yeah I realized that. I haven't been up-to-date with Minecraft for a while now. I need to make a new video.

  • i did this but with a line of them (so i could grow more melons) but when i wired up the redstone in a line along the back of the row of pistons and put a torch at the end, when i flicked the lever nothing happened. the redstone lit up, but nothing happened to the pistons. help!

  • do you mean semi automatic?

  • You could place a redstonetorch under the farmedland, then it would only be 3x2x2

  • @thobadku Thanks for the tip! The more I look at the setup, the more changes I'm making to it, lol. I made more "hidden" version last night but didn't want to put up a third video of just this dumb farm.

  • You can do this without the repeater

  • @porcariadagata How so?

  • @thingthug run the redstone under the farmland, it will still connect, like glass and air

  • But that defeats the purpose of automatic detection. Dirt can pass current, farmland cannot. So when farmland converts to dirt, the piston automatically activates. If you placed redstone dust instead, then you couldn't use the farmland as a bridge in-between or as a detection method.

  • @thingthug No it doesn't if you invert the signal

  • @porcariadagata I'm sorry, but I'm so confused. D: I really want to know how you did you setup! Do you mind sending me a screenshot or something?

  • how can i use this when my pistons are under the farmland?

  • @Schommie Check the description box, I made a visual tutorial for you to use.

  • @thingthug

    sry you don´t know what i mean^^

its not bad, i cant formulate it for you

my english is to bad to formulate my problem.

  • @Schommie I'm sorry I didn't understand what you said. Maybe you can show me an image of your setup? Take an image of where you want the piston to me, and send it to my email. pistonsandinventions@gmail.com

  • Yes this design is way better and simpler. Might put it in my world.

  • @MorrisTheHorris Thanks!

  • op is a phaggot

  • :D
