Initially, Capcom USA announced that the game would be released in America, and an English/U.S. cover and logo was even made for it. But the game was never released, for unknown reasons and despite promo spreads in several video game magazines (including the American SHONEN JUMP). According to some rumors, Capcom wanted to change the music references in the game to avoid lawsuits, but Araki insisted that they not be changed, leading to an impasse.

I would believe that. Araki doesn't like to do adaptations unless he's getting the full thing, including the musical references. I heard some animation studio execs or his editor put some a bit of pressure to araki to have Series 3 become an anime. When it did, he still admits the manga was superior in every way and for the sake of completion, it is.

Series 3 is the gateway series for every JJBA fan. Though I like the first (phantom blood) since it gets everything started and you see the evolution how Dio goes from a regular asshole to a an immortal asshole with powers. Oh and zeppelli with his top hat is awesome. But each series brings its own flavor Araki goes with to keep things fresh. Series 4 was about mystery, series 5 was pretty boy mafiosos and series 6 had a girl protagonist who herself was unique.

Actually it's written "senpuu" IIRC but that's the interesting thing, that furigana is written. So Araki can do things like that, SoraLink, and "yuu-hamon" with stand overwriting the sound (look on wikipedia if that confused you).

Also now it is (also) seinen, ever since SBR began appearing in Ultra Jump (already the majority of its current duration).

I effing love the Jojo series. I use Swap Magic to play japanese games on my ps2. When you order it, it brings everything you need to mod it, some people just use some tissue and a straw to mod their ps2s, but you still need swap magic just remember that. Gotta open up your ps2 to do it, but it is safe and easy if you actually follow the instructions. Trust me I am the clumsiest person in the world and I did it.

Well it was supposed to come out in europe and america, but they scrapped it for release outside of japan. It is in japanese with some english in the menus and some in-game. I have it for my ps2...but since I have an american ps2 I had to mod it to be able to play japanese games. You can also use Swap Magic. Also this game is pretty old now and I doubt they will release it here unless this series of Jojo gets popular over here. Hope that helps.
