@KrokE71 yes, its a secret room. atari never let anyone do credits, and they never play the games themselves, so the people who made adventure were able to sneak a dot into one of the rooms. take the dot to one of the lines that you cant go through and you will get past it. in that room is words that say created by __________. I forget who made it.

@Wesleech nope, the game adventure had one first...where you find an invisible object and take it to the correct place to reveal the developers name

however this might not be the first easter egg either...i remember reading one i think for either maze war or space war....i know theres one before adventure but i cant remember quite the game

I knew it! When I played this game, I found the Yar. I wrote to AtariAge magazine to tell them about it, but never heard back.

I never found the Indy easter egg, but it is good to know I wasn't crazy.

this is how u do it.

1. set the game on level 3 (optional)

2. collect 7 pieces of candy

3. give them to elliot

4.collect all the telephone pieces

5. find the flower( make sure you didn't find it before now.)

6. extend E.T.'s neck.

7. It will turn into a Yar from Yars revenge.

8. beat the game.

9. repeat steps 2-5. then, instead of a yar, it will be Indiana Jones :)

So THAT'S what that was! I had this happen to me once by accident way back in the day around 82 or so while playing and I had no idea what had happened! I tried to tell friends about it and had tried to explain that I hadn't imagined it, but they all kept insisting I was lying and was supposedly just trying to get attention (don't you HATE it when know-it-alls do that to you?). Thank God you posted it here, now I finally understand what happened. Thank you! :)

That's funny, it does look like Indiana Jones... but it's actually the FBI Agent that steels ET's Reece's Pieces.

I played the game when I was a kid, and I still remember that for some reason.

He's not talking about the Agent guy. Near the end of the video (1:30), ET is at the bottom of a sink hole and clicks what looks like a flower but it is the Indiana Jones stick figure from the Raiders of the Lost Ark game. I think I remember seeing that as a kid. Really strange glitch.

I think there's two more easter eggs like this one. One from Jars Revenge, and another one (I cant remember who was this last)
