    Rainwater catchment is so important. We have a tank that actually allows you to grow a garden on it. It's really awesome. Google Living Rainwater Tanks. They're awesome!

  • Rainwater is great for so many reasons- it tastes better, it doesn't corrode your pipes, people tend to be more conservative with their water use and it is great for your plants.

    And, to the prior comment, this is relevant IN ALL LANDSCAPES, not only the arid climate. We are not arid in the Bay Area, we are in DROUGHT. And who knows for how long???
