Ah so this is Brad Lancaster. Read his book and have seen his Facebook page, but have never seen what he looks like! Love what you do Brad!
Rainwater catchment is so important. We have a tank that actually allows you to grow a garden on it. It's really awesome. Google Living Rainwater Tanks. They're awesome!
Rainwater is great for so many reasons- it tastes better, it doesn't corrode your pipes, people tend to be more conservative with their water use and it is great for your plants.
Rainwater Revival in Dripping Springs, TX. Oct. 9, 2010, 10-5 PM. If you're in the area, come by- Roger Hanks Park, just across from the Pct. 4 Office on the West side of Dripping.
Brad, Your presentation at EcoLandscape California 2009 was EXCELLENT. You have a powerful presence substantiated by success and ACTION. I am working on the concepts in teh San Francisco Bay Area. Thank you for your energy in this regard!
And, to the prior comment, this is relevant IN ALL LANDSCAPES, not only the arid climate. We are not arid in the Bay Area, we are in DROUGHT. And who knows for how long???
Brad: I attended your workshop in Asheville and was pleasantly reminded of it thru this video. I've returned to Louisville and have been promoting rain barrels and will construct and plant my rain garden late winter. Keep up the good work!
Could I post a link to this page on my website?

Excellent demo!
Can you imagine just how different the world would be if this were the "normal" practise?
Thanks so much for sharing with us.
All the best,
