it also kinda depends on where you get it. one of mine is on the back of my left hip....like think...low on the back like a tramp stamp, but smaller and all the way to the left...and that's a relatively fatty area of my body, and there are less nerves there, so that didn't really hurt. my other one is on the top of my right foot -- much bonier and lots of nerves -- so that hurt a lot more.
