@dummyinblue I think so. After she saw all he did for her, James and Harry, I mean. He asked Dumbledore to "protect them all" because as much as he loved Lily, he knew that her only true happiness was with James and Harry.

Harry forgave Sev after all. I think if he could, them it stands to reason that Lily did, as well.

Darn that Rowling. One word - just one word and I'm on the brink of tears. For Snape! If I had known this back in -99 when I read the first book... No, I wouldn't have believed it, not at all.

After reading the last book I had to read the whole series again just to closely scrutinize Snape. And it was there. All the time. Always. I don't know if I want to just hug the man or give him a through snogging but darn. Always. Powerful stuff.
