I had to have been 11 when this game was released xD and still i never get over it. All of us fans trying to be like Squall and relating to him and finding our Rinoas out there xD its sad to see that games these days cant compare to what we had back in the ps1 days. But this game i'm sure most of you will agree with me is just so much more then a "game". It has a deep connection that people can relate to being an orphan or being misunderstood. But hey we all have a lionheart lets use it ;P

back in the days when I bought PS magazines there was a demo disc with this intro trailer to the game. Me and my sister watched it over and over every day, till the final fantasy came true and I indulged into the game. Man it was more of a moviethan anything else... and the animated scens, just epic. Anyway I do not remember any FF game which reached this level of dramatic epic storytelling (even if the world seemed to be emptier and less full of life than in FF7).

Squall whenever i think of him its not that i am gay. i am straight. but whenever i see him i just love him i feel like i relate to squall in so many ways i try to be like him i mean i just cant describe it in words. my whole life i wanted to be like squall. whenever i listen to the landing soundtrack i get so nostalgic that tears run down my cheeks im not lying

Yeah I understand... I don't cry though, but that's because I promised myself a lot of years ago I wouldn't cry for anything again. Even so... I feel very nostalgic everytime I remember about ff8 or listen to it's soundtracks. We are just two more of the people who love this game... And we all know this game is so good it's just more than a simple game... it just can't be explained with words.

Heh, heh. Looks exactly like Dead Fantasy 4 by Monty Oum. EPIC! I'm a young teenager, and when I saw how good the graphics were from 1998, I almost fell out of my chair. I'm getting married and my fiance and I somewhat met because of FFVIII - in junior high we both found out we were playing it at the same time and that allowed us to have something to talk about and become best friends. Well its a very good game and has a lot of secrets for you to find out. Try searching the map more and reduce the battles you do (if u play a lot of battles). But I digress from my last two coments. Too bad they've yet (I'm still hoping that they do) to make a sequel/prequel of this one since they left a shitload of things unexplained in FFVIII. Hopefully with all the fanfictions that were made after it, ranging from plausible to downright absurd, didn't leave the writers fresh out of ideas to use. The writers at SQUARE-ENIX must be very creative otherwise they wouldn't have made sequels out of FFVII...I hope...

I couldn't agree more. About the only thing stopping them from doing it though is coupled with how much manpower and time it would take in doing it. Plus RPGs these days are getting more and more prone to having vast arrays of voice acting. It'd probably take billions of doll...er...I mean TRILLIONS of yen to do revamping of that caliber in this day and age.

But...I'm not here to burst yours or anyone elses bubble. I think the more we wish for it the more likely it's eventually going to happen. Maybe it's getting cheaper by the dozen. Maybe they're secretly starting work on it already. We'll just have to wait and see. Hopefully it won't be 15 years after these FF's initial releases like they did for the previous early FF's. (Okay I'll admit that it'd still be cool to see those revamped in the latest of 3D)
