Yeah I just renewed with Magic Jack-Wagons. they hit me with the seperate dollar charge also. It use to be $19.95 now it's $29.95 plus some other crap to get it to $31.XX something, THEN another dollar. And why do they make it next to impossible to find out when your subscription runs out? Azzoles

My magic jack seems to stop and start my voice if I have anything running on my computer. My relatives say that it sounds like Obama without a teleprompter.

What a total rip off. What a POS it is. I will never renew it ever because it doesn't work in the first place.

Someone needs to start a class action suit against them.

@JDK1981 I am not sure what you mean by a format. When I bought this POS it is MJ+. they advertise that you don't even have to use your PC to use it, just plug it into a electrical receptacle i.e. wall plug.

I even went out and bought a new AT&T cordless phone to accommodate it.

Once connected the communication is choppy and broken and one never knows when you are going to loose your connection.

If you have any Ideas I would sure welcome them.

@J4vandf hmmm, i ment a format for a Fresh format of your comp, but if its a MJ+ thats not the issue at all.. what internet service you have? DSL or cable? how many MBPS? Mine is the old MJ that needs a computer. I have a Security computer that 24 hrs Records cameras on a DVR card so i just use that comp and MJ and my phone is on 24 HRs a day. Ive noticed its is a lil bit choppy at times calling SOME cellphones, but to a landline its 100% clear.

@JDK1981 I have DSL is there some kind or program or tweaking one has to do or install some kind of program to make these POS work? I am very frustrated because MJ+ is supposed to work with just a common electrical receptacle. That is a pipe dream, even though they charge you xtra for the MJ+. Somebody is getting rich and millions are not getting any service. Got any ideas? would sure love to hear them.

@johnnyohness did you call your DSL company about it and ask if the VOIP will work? I know like verizon has a VOIP, maybe they have it blacked or something? I mean i hate verizon all they do is pick your pocket and send you a bill for it.

any upcoming transaction debits $1 until the transaction goes through. If the transaction does not go thru, then it is put back in your account. This happened back in June. Do you have an update?

Dude, that dollar will come off when the transaction goes thru. Many companies do this to make sure the card is still active. You make a video over a $1.00 charge?? Haven't you ever purchased over the net before??

Oh c'mon man. This is LOLable. The utilities can be used for tax purposes also.

I called Oomla and they told me I'd be paying 30 dollars a year on top of the 200, basically for tax. So this is nothing.

I've had MJ for 3 years now and loved it. I just basically got 2 years for 19.95 when resubing this time around (of yeah, add the dollar 20.95). Such a rip off /sarcasm

I've used M.J. for 4 years, never had a problem.

I'm in the U.S., I call anywhere in the U.S. even to Canada and never pay 1 penny more than the once annual $19.95 they re-bill my card for every December 1st.

For me this is the best investment I ever made.

I'm thinking about getting the newer 'M.J. Plus'.

Re: the "$1.00 pending" charge... that falls off, it's commonly done with many companies when you first buy something from them.

It is totally useless. When making a call the connection is so full of static and you risk getting your call dropped at any second. How did you managed to get yours to work? I'm completely disgusted with my purchase. Customer service for MJ is practically nonexistent.

Thanks!.Yesterday I had similar scenario. I tried to renew contract for a year, went through 1 year renewal process, but all I saw YOUR ORDER CAN NOT BE PROCESSED this time. Tried 3 times. What the .... Why ? I was customer for 2 year and wanted to renew for a year it didn't. So I went through their chat process and was given a shocker. they said, I pending charges of $46.95 so unless I pay that I can't renew? Not true! I had paid for MJ in full and this is BS! I also see $1 pending in my bank

how long did you have it unused bfor you resighned cus if it was over a month then thay wil do this. and you need to call them or chat with them online thay will fix this its a isue in thare system.
