  • axel hop to the MAX!!!

  • for what happened... id say the stang held up quite well

  • And this is why we see plenty of Chevys at the strip :)

  • @kazzyk12 Since when? LOL

  • But Will It Blend?

  • For those that have no idea, the driveshaft broke and dug into the ground, ripping off the back wheels. It happens, thats why they make driveshaft loops.

  • theres your problem lol

  • For those who think 'Ford Tough' obviously never owned one of Ford's "greatest creations"...that being the 3.8L Taurus/Windstar..and their BULLETPROOF transmissions with said engines...er, wait. Ford's 3.8's blow faster than a presidential intern named Monica...I guess it goes without saying that the tranny's that go along with the 3.8L go to their knees faster than a Lewinsky!!

  • @Thilindel this is so true

  • Beech Bend Bowling Green KY.

  • I HOPE HE HAS A FRESH PAIR OF UNDERWEAR BACK IN THE PITS !!

  • I think the cammy driver just gave him back the bolts he "borrowed"

  • F.O.R.D. FUCKED ON RACE DAY

  • where is the driveshaft safety loop?

  • @jbyrd51384 drive shaft safety loop doesnt do any good when the rear end falls out of your car

  • drop the clutch aaaand WTF JUST HAPPEND

  • O. K. guys, get freaking real. Has anyone ever heard of a rev limiter? This would eliminate the boost to the power train and stablize the rear screw so this type of crap doesn't happen. I would bet if you pull the heads off of the small block, it would show significant damage to the fly wheel, intake exhaust and carb. ports. Rebuild and try different headers, more pull, less flip . . .

  • @bigdkntexas no way your serious.

  • @bigdkntexas LOL you are either a pretty decent troll or the dumbest fucker around.

  • Well, at least he didn't red light. I think he had too much pinion angle. That other guy's run didn't count since he pulled over and got out of his car, so who won? Technically, only part of the mustang crossed the center line...and with both cars stopped on the track, the mustang is ahead. So, did he win the race? I hope his traction blasters were able to be saved.

  • that was weird looks like someone yanked the rear end out

  • Hahahahahahahaha!!!!!! I can't stop laughing, that is so funny!

  • Kudos to the other driver for running over to check on him. Sportsmanship rocks!

  • the wheels obviously had tons of grip...and when he stopped the rear tiers locked up completely and the grip ripped it off....

  • @DrSloer No the damn driveshaft broke and grabbed a crack in the track and basically shoved the entire rear end out.

  • Thats all custom. bad welder.

  • good thing the other car stopped , otherwise it would have been a fatal crash

  • good thing the other car stopped , otherwise it would have been a fatal crash

  • well theres your problem

  • F.O.R.D backwards mean driver returns on foot LOL!!!!!

  • Typical Ford, falling apart.

  • HAHA, Typical dumbass that has no idea what he is talking about.

Thats all custom my friend. It's a bad welder.

  • epic fail

  • 0:19 "Hey, could you pull forward please?"

    XD

  • FAIL

  • That was fucking nuts! One second he was just sideways and you are like....ok he should be able to save it...then BAM! the rear end comes out....just damn crazy

  • what i think is hilarious is that as hes spinning he puts he brake on look at the brake lights i mean like whats that gonna do

  • Comment removed

  • stop the front wheels

  • Stop the front wheels? Which is where 90% of the brakeing is done anyway?...

  • With Bigs and Skinnys, its not quite that easy.

  • I know, I have skinnys on my car and drive it all over like that.. I was just justifying why he was hitting the brakes...

  • Well, I'd rather have my ass end fly out other than having my motor be wrecked and the front end becuase I hit a wall.

  • Yup thats a good point.

  • typical ford

  • How is that typical ford?

  • Typical High Horsepower Engines

  • You are an idiot.

  • Bet he was like "WTF,why is my shyit bouncing like this?"Kooky.

  • No proper Sub frame with that much power it happens more often then you can imagine .

And a do it your self weld job .

  • yep thatz a ford for u!!!!

  • haha True

  • Damn the whole rear drive and wheel assembly just got torn off ouch

  • Built Ford Tough..... oh wait...

  • lmao.

  • holy shit

  • i love how the camaro stopped to help like i have to help idiot friend who picked ford. Go Chevy

  • if it was FWD it could still drive :)

  • thats true but if it was front wheel drive he would have never made enough power to do that though! lol

  • that would be fucking funny XD

  • LMFAO!!!

  • by the sounds of it you're just a typical douchebag yourself

  • ouch-my guess is he ripped out the upper suspension arm boxes to. maybe more

  • well, at least it kept him off the wall...

  • Comment removed

  • look to me like the rear broke loose on right side first then shaft come out

  • All because he didn't have a $30 safety loop...

  • I highly doubt they would have let that car run without a driveshaft loop.

  • Well, if he did then it wasn't installed properly. It's supposed to keep the front of the shaft from hitting the ground, which in this case seems like it just didn't work.

  • loop does not help if the back wheels break off due to a violent weird impact angle with the ground. The back axle seperated from the car first, then the drive shaft of course hit the ground.

  • fucked up the track

  • LAWLS

  • this might be the coolest drag video ive ever seen. ripped the whole fucking axle out of the car.

  • funny as hell .....!!!!!!!!!!

  • hahahahahaha he put on his brakes

    hahahaha

  • yea dam drive shaft did that in my mustang too

snapped the spline&yoke and ripped the whole rear out not a good feeling

hope this guy got it bk 2gether ok

  • not a shitty car, or a shitty rear end.

just some bad weld jobs. take a grinder and clean em up, and get someone who knows what they are do in to weld them back up.

  • shitty ford

  • It had a 14 bolt chevy rear end.

  • Notice how it fell off of the ford and didn't come apart ... shitty ford

  • Thats what you call sportsmanship. Mad props.

  • haha

  • lol ford....

  • at least he made it further than the Camaro

  • now thats some ford power!!

  • Pics were run in car craft or hot rod. A weld on the rear suspension broke and sent everything to hell from there.

  • lol

  • a driveshaft loop wouldnt have done anything for it. The same thing happened to my buddy Mike conners 67 carmaro. the rear end locks up and u cant move the car for shit. with a drive shaft loop. it would have just shattered the output shaft on the tranny. when the rear end locks up. something has to come off somewhere. and i agree. good sportsmanship on his competitors part. first on the scene.

  • shouldve had a driveshaft safety loop installed.. never would have happened. well the driveshaft wouldve came off but the rear end wouldnt have popped off.

  • wrong, the rear came off cuaseing the drive shaft to come off as well, I am sure he had a safety loop, just it does not do shit for keeping it on if the god damn back wheels come off. Bad weld job.

  • universal joints???

  • NASTY!!

  • He gets out an looks, "yeah just what I thought... my back wheel fell off, dammit..."

  • lol ^_^

  • they tried on mythbusters to pole vault the car

  • FUCK YEAH!!!!

  • sticky ass tires, the made the cut jump up after the nose came back down they when the tires came back down they jerked the axle out, WOW

  • wow I have never seen that happen!

  • I like that first guy on the scene........was his competitor. Good sportsmanship

  • the rear end falling out actually saved the car, i think it woulda been alot more damage if it stayed in there and he hit the wall

  • WOW!!!!!!!!

  • I was standing on the line when this happened. This happened at a NMCA/PRO race a couple years ago. It looked like the ladder bar brackets were welded to the rear with a torch and a coat hanger.

  • thats what you get for getting it tubbed at walmart

  • not a drifting car lol

  • This car was a ladder bar car, meaning that the suspension was not attached to the factory torque boxes. Also, the driveshaft did not fail in this car. The welds on the rear end that attached the ladder bars to the rear end were poor quality and ripped off of the rear end. Yeah the driveshaft fell out, because it was bolted to the rear end that fell out.

  • I'm pretty sure this guy already had a driveshaft loop on there since most times it's required at NHRA sanctioned tracks for cars running 13.99 and quicker.

  • that was awesome

  • yea it couldof been alot worse than that lol beautiful stang 2 been a shame if it would of smashed into the guard rail

  • drive shaft saftey loops are a must!

  • either that or support your tourque boxes. Damn I think he spent his money in the wrong places

  • that was beautiful... could have been ALOT worse

a+ for the driver, he obviously wasn't slouching during 'accident advoidance day'

  • Sucks for that car.
