  • so what software should i get i want something in the range of 100 to 200 any good reccomendations

  • @REX05011 FL Studio, Cockos Reaper.

  • how big is your booth ?

  • NIce Studio Bro.

  • Is the imac i5 fast enough? Or should i go for i7?

  • @559tseemhlub any imac is good enough...These program don't really need that much power as some may say. Video editing, picture editing you will want more processing power, but any imac will run this stuff. If you look at some ppls videos they are using older 3+year old imacs and they are still running this software just fine.

  • I'm building a studio right now.

I'm wondering about the intercom to the talent.

Do you run it through the mixer or is it independent?

I'm leaning towards independent as it's cheaper and doesn't take up mixer ports.

    Any suggestions?

  • How to make a home studio. Get a mac

  • I love your chair :)

  • @shizueleven making music is not about how much cool gear you have. Many of the most famous songs are recorded and made with shit gear.

  • why wen i record with protools sound echo?is it the mixer from the mbox?i like magix music maker because is so much easier then protools

  • Thats Atleas 3Grand On His Wall

  • I want that desk, you can keep all the rest

  • AMAZING!

  • Your water is gonna be hot.

  • sweet setup bro!!

  • @MournX and i think he build that shit

  • Nice job man! Started with a m-audio fast track too. I got some video of my studio on my channel if anyone is interested.

  • how much was the desk and were did u get it

  • now I got KRK Rokit 5 speakers, Beats by Dr. Dre Studio headphone, condensor mic, MIDI Keyboard and a small interface. Im using FL Studio 10. The only thing i need is a faster computer i think, now i'm using a laptop (i5 processor). Next to that, a big desk would be awesome too :) some suggestions for a fast(er) computer??

  • @StingBeatz never use dr dre headphones for mixing. they have eq in them to make stuff sound better

  • @mgsg50 Oh that's sad,I just bought them two weeks ago. Maybe I can afford another headphone for mixing, but which headphone should I buy which are good for mixing?

  • @mgsg50 for a less price indeed. not like that 300 euros for Dre headphone

  • @StingBeatz look for something by shure of sennheiser. anything around 100-150 bucks is going to be a much better tool for mixing. you want a flat response in your headphones so that you know what youre changing in the mix

  • @mgsg50 oke thank you very much bro ;) indeed the Beats by Dre's are very good headphones but for mixing it's bad because it sounds too beautiful .. but whatever, thank you

  • @StingBeatz no problem. just tryin to help

  • @StingBeatz Build your own.

  • i have that same chair

  • this guy is a goof

  • you a cool guy i would like to give you a tip its not safe to have speckers to close to the montor

  • i dont understand why i carnt put my mixer 2gether with my audiobox interface and if i only use the interface i carnt plug my compressor into it as it only has 2 inputs for the speakers...........is there no way to connect it all mate or is there a usb soundcard i can plug into my laptop??

  • Hey man, is this also your bedroom?

  • I hope no one who actually watches thinks you can get a decent mix on a pair of headphones that aren't open back. And open backed cans are like... 600$. tldr buy monitors save money.

  • I'm an idiot by why do i need audio interface ?

  • @MrSamjackass well, your not a idiot... its juts you need a audio interface to like its like your software is running on the soundcart(audio interface) and your speakers are on the audio interface, your mic is and so u can use all them all togheter in the software :D

  • @QTore thanks :)

  • Thank you .

  • can you do a record without mixer ?

  • I have mxcrft 2.5 on windows 7 e-machine 3 gb ram I'm getting spikes of latencey.Any ideas?

  • Ok. Cool. You should look into other DAWs for beat making stuff too. There is so much info out for specific jobs you want to do.

  • nice...

  • yes it's good but where's your camera

    can we see it?

  • yes it's good but where's your camera

  • Awesome set up!! :)

  • When you buy Monitor speakers do you have to get Fast Track ?

  • @cbancman no any decent interface should have at least 2 outputs for you to plug in you monitors.

  • @MrAwesomemusician ok so they will work throw A desktop or a laptop ?

  • @cbancman the interface will and then the monitors will work threw the interface. are you planning on recording, and if so what kind of stuff?

  • @MrAwesomemusician yea and also making beatz. n I was thinking about Pro Tools

  • In terms of chair I prefer the Eurotech ergohuman mesh ME7ERG...hands down THE BEST!

  • hey bro..i'm just getting started on the whole music production thing..i need some tips on how to connect everything to the computer..thanks bro..

  • Also, this is more than just a home studio, this has 10 times the gear that the average musician has...

Plugged two XLR cables from both speakers into the two XLR inputs on the front of the soundcard, and i got the right driver update. U have any ideas?

  • If your dad doesn't have a lot of money like his, just get the cheap stuff...Ummm..K.

  • damn clean your room up

  • your studios awesome dude

  • I have a question. I am trying to dub a series into English. It was originally in another language. I would like to use the original music and sound effects which were not on the original sound track. But I don't need the original voices at all. Can this program remove the original voices without distrubing the music scores or sound effects?

  • Lol, Is your booth the closet?? ive thought about doing that with mine :P

  • hey man where could i get all the recording stuff at? plz comment back

  • CHeck MY PAGE INSANSE STUDIO

  • love ya work nice....

  • You might be able to use the synth as a midi controller if its got a midi in and out

  • @Zdrummer45 it just need usb out.. i run a korg r3 as a midi controller strictly with usb

  • so where do you record the drums?

  • goood stuff bro i like it

  • Why must you say Audio Technica like that?

  • What type of speakers are those?

  • alright, do the KRKs come with 1? or multiple like 2?

  • what is the padding on your wall by the computers , where did get it and how much was it.

  • What is the desk Model? Please Relpy.

  • bro.. wana ask you.. wic is the best vocal DAW to use and audio interface cause now i using steinberg Cl1... MXL990 condenser mic..

  • It's pronounced audio(tek nick uh)

  • I won't say that this is a home recording studio. Most of the people who wanna build their studio at home, is because they wanna record their songs. It would be the worst pain in the ass, if you had to go back and forward to the mic and computer to stop, play and record constantly. This is for one who gets people over and record their songs. Not for the 1 man... nice though...

  • @sayeghpro Did you just spend an entire paragraph complaining that this isnt a home recording studio, and then describe it as a place in a home where people come over and record their songs?

  • @DanielEBurnette No no, it IS a home recording studio, but you need 2 people to create a song, wich not everybody outthere wants to. Its like hell to walk back and forth to stop, play and rec. But ofc. its a home recording studio.

  • @sayeghpro Ok I get it. Yeah I suppose if you want to record your own vocals by your self you should use a different type of sound isolation like a reflection filter. Or if he has a window in the vocal booth and just faces the monitor so you can see it from in the booth and then just brink a keyboard and mouse in there with you.

  • @DanielEBurnette Haha, well, you could do that. I didn't watch this to get idéas, I got my own booth close to my computer so I just open it up and press on the keybord / mouse - without leaving the booth. But I was just talking for the people who dream about building their own, this would not be the best way, because of the distance. But good idéa turning the monitor to face the booth with a window. :)

  • @sayeghpro haha ok i thought i would just have to comment on this.. I had it far away from my computer but i have a wireless keyboard and i just take that into the booth when i was recording and doing multiple takes. And if you look at some of my new video you can clearly see that my studio is way more of a studio compared to this video which is like a year and a bit ago.

  • @CjDAudio Yeah. Like one said, turn the monitor to face the booth-windows, and then use a wireless keyboard. But I guess you understand my point, right? :)

  • @sayeghpro my studio is very similar and i have it synced with my ipad using ac 7 core as a control console . also consider the following joey sturgis a muisc producer that is using cubase Steven slate drums and pod tones out of his mothers house is making 500 dollars a day recording bands. so a home studio and a professional studio are one in the same.

  • @sayeghpro its a homerecording studio now shut up please :) nobody wants to hear your opinion

  • @DasKloputzer Haha, but still you read my opinion - and still you answered. So don't talk, You obv. wants to hear, or else you wouldn't answer. now you shut up please :)

  • @sayeghpro thts why u have other ppl in it dumass

  • 'fruity loops' isnt free.. you downloaded it illegally

  • ha, man great studio u got :) gj

  • Say man were u stay I'm trying to start sum I mean I got it I just need some help I can make u a rich man just believe in me

  • Nice studio.. but I'm still going to kick you in the nuts for being a little rich boy though!

  • Nice.. wish i had the money to drop on a studio.. im way low budget.. thanks for the vid

  • hey man i got a fast track ultra 8r...but i get a crackling popping sound when i record? can you help me please....

  • 2:40

-- PUSH HIS ASS IN AND LOCK THE DOOR :)

  • hey bro the mic that you use to communicate with the person in the vocal booth.. where is that one connected to?

  • where did you get you power conditioner, and whats it called lol apart from power conditioner, whats its technical name. lol

  • are you canadian or some shit? (no offense to canadians)

  • I like this dude. Realistic on the under average budget. Keep it 100. Im using a similar setup

  • Need some advise please. I am getting a decent Mac with logic pro 9, I have baught the KRK Rockit 6 Monitors. i am getting an MXL 990 Microphone & M-Audio Interface profire 610. Im just wondering if you think all that works for making decent music, because im using fruity loops and im wanting to transfer all my music in to logic pro to mix down and record my album. Cheers Zola

  • CAN YOU HELP ME OUT WHEN I RAP THERES LIKE A HIGH PITCHED WHITE NOISE ....I USE LIKE A KAROKE MIC TO RECORD CUS I BARLEY HAVE MONEY WHAT CAN I DO TO TAKE THAT WHITE NOISE OUT

  • @ImYuNgSpAiN get a better microphone.

  • where do you plug the speakers into?

  • Awesome. Thanks for sharing.

  • fuckin rich kids.. all their money and they still cant make shit.. everyones voice is aired out like that fagget from duke... "you think your cooler than me"

  • Dude if you use a guitar cable to your synth you can use the sounds in synth and record them, I use logic express and that works when I do it.

  • thnx man!

  • how much was the burgundy padding

  • @roryastenbell why in a mixing environment would you ever want reverb? It'll affect the way you mix and chances are it'll sound like garbage. Your "dead and dull mix" comment is completely backwards; chances are if you mix in a live room you'll end up with a dry mix because you compensate for the room...but then what happens when 80% of your consumers listen on headphones, in cars, and on laptop speakers, with no room sound? It's dry. In a tracking room maybe it might be more acceptable to

  • The biggest mistake when people make a studio is when they use a tonne of acoustic foam on the walls. You need to use it in only where there are tangential modes, above the listening position, behind the listening position and behind the monitors. If you plaster your walls in foam you will lose a lot of natural reverb from the room and your mixes will sound dead and dull. Putting the reverb in after you've recorded is not always the best way. You will lose a lot of tone and harmonics with foam

  • UNLESS YOU ARE A REAL ENGINEER, YOU SHOULD GO TO A REAL STUDIO

  • Where did you find that desk, I'm looking for one like that

  • @showncross Build One Pro, looks home made, sure it wouldnt be too hard..

  • Where did you find that desk

  • What kind of power conditioner is that?

  • i have a question.. i have this: Windows 7 os, Altec Lansing VS-2420 speakers, Behringer Xenyx 1222fx Mixer, and i have a AT-2020 non usb mic, i want to use all this together but im having problems syncing the mixer into my pc, can you help me? i am using FL Studio 10 for my DAW, and i have a U-Control interface for USB input for my pc, all i need to know is what i need to do to set it up and make a simple small studio, please help me, thanks

  • whats the name of that desk and how much it cost?

  • Dude I really like your studio, I know u have another one right now though. I just wanna know, Where did u get you're studio foam? or is it studio foam? it's more like it haha. Thanks bro.

  • My thoughts changed through this video, "Damn that room's small as fuck......how is there a booth?.....WHAT THE FUCK!?"

  • Terrible Example Of A Cheap Studio

  • Yo he is absolutely right about the comfy chair.

    What state are you in?

  • Yo he is absolutely right about the comfy chair.

  • now thats a big desk :( my desk in not big enough to hold a screen and two studio monitors :/

  • yo what midi keyboard controller would you recommend under 200$, i was looking at the umx250, also im looking to get krk rp5's is that good enough or should i jump up to rp6's?

  • @TheCrogotti m-audio axiom 49 2nd generation. very nice keyboard just a littl over 200. i think it dropped to 200 by now. very nice and has assignable drum pads

  • What's a interface?

  • @xmanboat it plugs into your computer and it allows you to plug in headphones, speakers and whatever else you can imagine. it also allows you to plug things into the inputs. think of it like extra and better inputs and outputs. they connect to your computer using usb or firewire depending on what model your using.

  • @theshinywolf Oh I see thx ^^

  • lol no wonder it's so good you made it yourself >_<

  • what desk is thattttttttttttttttttt?!

  • Tnx for info

  • Great video! My main problem is that I don't have anywhere to setup a small studio as my bedroom is on the other side of my neighbours' wall and i live in a very small house. Only next thing I can think of is an outbuilding studio in the garden, but i don't know if the sound would carry too much for neighbours to hear :(.

  • how much can you get pro tools 8 or 9 for

  • hey i bought a fast track pro an i have everythin hooked up drivers and everything an i have a problem i can only hear playback from one speaker everytime i record and if i hook up the xlr cable to the 2nd input ill hear it from the right speaker! could you please help me?

  • nice studio..quick questionif im tryung to make a beat or use a instrument it has to be pluged up to my mbox?

  • why do you have blinds in your booth? wouldnt that be disruptive towards your sound quality?

  • @HatchetJuglinJuggalo that isn't blinds. It's acoustic foam.

  • @HatchetJuglinJuggalo its soundproofing :L

  • Suuch a nice studio.

  • Passive monitors with a amplifier are alot better than powered speakers. Get atleast 1 good mic, an RE20 will do everything well, a good interface like a apogee or rme, and some good passive speakers and amplifier. Save the money you spent on monitors and treatment for better microphones. most rooms will sound good in a certain spot anyway and two monitors wont help you make music..most condensers will sound bad if they are under $1000. A big dynamic like a shure sm7 or RE20 are more practical.

Also whats a good keyboard to start off with thats not to expensive but is good enough to make progress with.

  • @Flashy551 Fruity Loops LOLLLLLLLLL

Reason is the king in all aspect (and fuck VSTs)

  • @mesvidsfavoris VST are very useful. And If you can't do without Reason, buy Record.

  • Thanks man... informative

  • NICE HAATT! ;)

  • so instead of learning "how to build a home recording studio" i watched you show off all your microphones and gadgets. what a waste of my fucking time

I run Sonar X1...which is a beast. Check out my vids

  • u don't need all this stuff to start off a home studio, I started with a midi controller and a microkorg... now I have a pro home studio.. every body has different styles right
