Is this a joke? Sounds like this guy has marbles in his mouth. Eagles really turned this song into something beautiful...cause good lord, this version is awful.
@Mercenariesofhonor Educate yourself on Tom Waits mate. You enjoy the Eagles version, which would never be without Tom Waits. The music industry, and artists all have high respect for him. It's fine if you don't like how he sings it, his voice is an accustomed taste for most, but there is more behind the way a person sings than just if he's hitting the right note smoothly or not. You prefer smooth and melodic, but just as you see the merits in that, as do we in this.
Hearing this version, now I'm glad the Eagles did their own version.

@Mercenariesofhonor Agreed. Everytime I hear a version by Waits , it's weird and different. Frey and Henley did a beautiful job.
