@Tango965 It's a catch tank for all the breather pipes. For racing they can't just have oil, battery, fuel breathers vent to the ground like a road legal bike as it would make the surface slippy. On road race bikes, this is generally a catch area in the bottom of the fairing, but no fairing or space for that on an SM.

I just realised- this bike is not a YZ450f like i originally thought. It's clearly a WR450 frame but using YZ450f plastics? Anyone know why?

its because the wr has longer gearing thats better for supermoto and street use cause theres so much hook up

im guessing yamaha labels all their race motards YZs as the actual YZ has always been an all out race bike as opposed to the more enduro based, detuned WRs
