  • you want the bottom to be as water proof as the bottom, not just for water but for draft's your going to loose a lot of heat that way. I bet you guys were pretty cold when the sun went down.

  • thats pretty sweet

  • good looking shelter brother

  • Very cool, Did it rain so you could test how waterproof it was? Just a thought does your Gator Machete have a grip that looks like the Jr. because they had made them originally with a straight gip which was a safety hazard, when using the saw if it got caught in the wood, your hand could slip off and hit the blade and get a bad cut from the blade side. They did a recall for a replacement. Check it out on Gerber Tools if it is straight. Take care and have a great day.

  • @ewtoutdoors thank you for the info about the gerber machete. and yes i do have the defected machete so i have to send it back to gerber to get a replacement. and it did rain that night and for the most part it was pretty dry, just a little damp in some areas.

  • cool project

  • I love this ! Thank you!

  • Would you recommend a metal/wood/plastic/string handle for a knife?

  • @Shorka52 i know im not andrew, but i made it with him. and i was using my cold steel srk, which has a rubber handle, and i had the sorest hands. rubber is definately the worst. i like plastic.
