  • I just sold an all original 1975 SS15 in very good condition for $200...Those things are rock solid.

  • it looks like you live in New mexico, do you?

  • You da man & that's da tractor. It's a workhorse.

  • Nice video and looks like you live in a cool place, this tractor will get the job done!

  • Good strong tractor. Great video.

  • Sweet tractor!! Do you still have it? If you do, NEVER sell it and keep it in good cond. Those beasts last forever!

  • Those suburban tractors had the power and tork of an actual suburban lol bad ass garden tractors

  • dude your plowing all wrong..you roll the dirt towards the part you just plowed, not away from it. doing it that way your doing it you leave a gap of unplowed ground.

  • @wildcat650100 Dude I know read all the comments

  • yup, i got the sears st 10 model and there a workhorse, you cant kill em. i got mine for free cause the motor was bad, so i just got another old 10 hp to match and it runs great mines reall slow cause the pulleys not the right size but i sure would win at tug of war! think you could make another video of it??

  • I got a Simplycity 3415h that i want to build 3-point lift on back. its around 15-20 HP. How powerful is that one? Alot more i think?

  • @Octanesledders95 12 HP but 8 gears to choose from

  • Too bad he is plowing backwards

  • Great Video Beautiful Job that Old Dog Does....Just incredible how much better built the Older lawn tractors were. I have a Sears SS16 I hope to Plow with this Spring. After seeing you're video, I'm realy looking foward to it.

  • i got the same tractor same color and assuming the same yr. but mines not running and it has a bad piston rod and its got a snowplow and wheel weights and its a bit rusty and beat up and its covered in stuff from sittin in a barn for 15yrs now or more but the metal looks pretty good on it. and seems to only be surface rust

  • I hope you fix it up. They were good built machines.

  • yea they were i hope to lol. its nice for not running for 15 or more yr's and its been collecting barn dust

  • That's a awful lot of work for that little garden tractor.

  • That's what it was designed to do and it does it good.

  • @handclamp my cub 125 is the same way, the hydrostatic transmission will dig you into the ground before it lets go, and as for 12 HP, so's mine, the way it's geared makes the difference, Torque, not speed.

  • @handclamp

It doesn't take a "BIG" engine to work a field. I used an 8hp rear engine rider last winter to push snow. It's all in the horses.

  • @januaryman169 is it true that the 60s garden tractors can out pull a 18hp today because of the way gear ratio is set up.

  • @sheepdogjake It's possible, but I'm no expert

  • what gear are you using?

  • I think I was in low range 3rd gear

  • thanks.

  • mines still runing good with that same nock......

  • OK, thanks for the advise I will give it a try.

  • hey super nice tractor! one thing -- if I may -- plowing with a bottom plow (like you have on your ss12) is best done by going right to left.. after the first row, go back to the beginning of the row, put your front wheel in the rut and let the furrow fall over into the rut. rinse wash & repeat. :o)
