There are so many inaccuracies that its mind boggling. This "documentary" is not scholarly by any means. The information about all the "suns" is almost completely inaccurate. The facts are stretched. It inserts so obviously its pretext into the information they have gathered. Probably from Wikipedia articles that they themselves wrote.  Most atheists I have met reject this documentary because its such an embarrassing movie to rational thinkers.

1. Gentaut doesnt exist

2. quexalcote is actually the Aztec god Quetzocoatl

3. Quetzocoatl is post christ era

4. Quetzocoatl was not born of a virgin mother nor did he have 12 disciples

I'm not really sure about Centeotl and Qutzacoatl's history, so I can't really tell if they had disciples or not and if they're mother's were virgins or not. But I've heard/read a couple of times Quetzacoatl's story resembles to Jesus's story

If there are so many deities with so many similarities, it is pretty logical they all came from the same idea... someone actually looked into the history of yahweh, made a pretty impressive video about it, it's featured on my channel right now. But point of the 1st part of Zeitgeist is, rational modern day people just don't believe someone rose from the dead, you just don't do that.

There are many kinds of "rational" thought and a big reason why this video never went mainstream is because of its historical fallacious wanderings. There are plenty of other videos that are anti-christian that are way better researched and thought out than this one. When going you study religion you have to examine your presuppositions and what your think rational thought is.

I'm an atheist, just like to start by saying that. BUT Horus was not born of a virgin. There aren't many parallels between him and Jesus. Same with Krishna, his mom actually had 7 kids before him in a jail cell who were all murdered. I didn't look into the other dieties, but I'm assuming they're also flawed descriptions. Everything else about this religion section of the movie is interesting and seemingly true.

The reeds come from relief of Isis and Horus with Isis surrounded by Papyrus plants Horus could have been born somewhere else and the moved to the reeds but no text directly states what happened. As for born on the 25th, no date is given and the holiday thing is bogus.
