@Jesuspaid4you, Christianity is it's own religion, there is maybe 1% that is very slightly similar to Judaism, but Christianity is based on the teachings of Man, Judaism is based on the teachings of Hashem.
WOW Matisyahu!!! Shalom-sprinkled with blessings and a smile. Reading some comments I now share that I am an ordained, One God, YHWH plural, person who found her mother was 100% Jewish. With this I have discovered God's love, grace, mercy and direction in even deeper ways. With the draw of the TANACH and TORAH, I have realize that Christians are missing out by not knowing the culture, Jews love of God, and embracing writings that are closest to the Hebrew. Selah. There is more: U and God.
Well hispanic is not a race, and neither is judaism, and last time i checked there was no box under race marked "raggae" Way to think outside the box brother.
I could come on here and talk about my religion and his religion but that isn't what matters, his music connects with so many people, he is truly an amazing guy.
Dear Matisyahu, thank you for preaching GOD´s word. We do the same using psalms, revelation, thora, and of course Jesaja, Jeremia and Micha (these are great prophets in the tenacha). As evangelist we also tell the gospel, that one jew has fulfilled the law and kept all 613 commandments. You are invited to visit Austria and preach (the way you´d like) in our christian church. For you do the same. Maybe you heard Toby Mac or anybody else praising God through music. Mazel tov!
I doubt very much that any respectable jew would like to sing in a church. No offense to your church, but christianity has historically done everything in its power to undermine judaism.
@pboisei i wouldnt say stay away from chabad but they have done many good things for the jewish world but they have there diffrences, in my opinion were all jews and there should be no "labels"
I agree. But I have found a really weird kinda anamosity between the reform world and the orthodox one. Three reform rabbis have told me some bad things about the orthodox world, chabad in particular. And just recently a chabad rabbi said some things about reform like: if they don't do the 613 they are not very jewish. One thing is for sure, the jewish world is changing and it will be interesting to see what happens.
there are only Jews. Their objection of Reform Judaism is there lack of adherence to halacha- Reform Judaism is "easy" Judaism- water downed created by those who wanted to assimilate in 19th century Germany, So to submit to Reform authority is in deference to Judaism in their minds. I'll put it to you this way; when a Reform shuel needed to "kosher" the kitchen , (in Indianapolis some years ago) they called in the Chabad rabbi "Ras Ipsa Loquitor"
He's AWESOME!!! Each year that passes and with every album that he puts out, grow more and more fond of him, his much and his religion...HaShem has dropped Mati on the planet to point the way and he does it through his music.
@snowhitehead. You prick. How dare you associate his name with a prophet ( pbuh) and the Almighties. He's not a saint. He's a smelly tramp who needs a bath and a gilette makeover. Oh yeah he's got a below average voice n is trying to create a new genre. 'jew'hop!
Our family LOVES Matisyahu. I believe that Yeshua ha Meshiac but Judaism is at the core. The core of Christianity, the core and the light. When I'm at a Matisyahu show, it is the greatest "church" experience for me. There is nothing like it. And I thank God in Jesus name every day for Judaism and Matisyahu who speak truth to the nations.
Jesus Christ is the Messiah and the only way to God. Jesus died for our sins and rose again from the dead so that all who believe in Him will have eternal life. Call upon the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved when you believe on Him.
As a christian you are supposed to beleive that Jesus died for our sins on the cross as the son of God. Im a christian as I do believe so. Saying that Satan is technically the same thing as bieng Jewish is not okay. I say this becaus Judaism is the root from which Christianity has grown from. Jesus grew up as a Jewish man. So if you are a Christian you must respect and fully understand Judaism.
@DaDestined1 Fully understand Judaism? I'm not trying to demean you here, but most practicing Jews don't fully understand Judaism, much less Christians or anyone else.
@DaDestined1 As a christian and blah blah blah. Give it a rest. This is music not your religious beliefs on whats right or wrong. This dude is nothing but respectful, sings nothing but positivity. Either respect the music or change the channel. Music is music and religion is religion.
@DaDestined1 People are you are the kind of people that will one day untie us all and hopefully bring a stronger sense of peace on this planet. i respect you for sticking to what you believe in, yet still standing up against persecution of others for their beliefs.
@DaDestined1 but all the first christians were all jews, as it states in acts, yeshuahs message made them become more observant in torah, rather than what paul did which was make the gentiles steer away from torah, i used to be a christian also some years ago and my understanding is that Paul did the contradictory thing of what yeshuah told his apostles to do, which was that he instructed them specifically not to go to the gentiles.
@JesusPaid4You Why do you have to interrupt a perfectly righteous interview in which a man stand up for the good in the world in the name of God? This is what the world need. Good influences and promoting kindness and doing right. Who cares what religion he is? I personally thank God every day for our Jewish brothers and sisters for they too love God and praise him just as we do. Your comment is uncalled for and take's young malleable minds away from the fact that this is a good insight to life

Imagine if there was an all-white Mariachi band singing in bad Spanish to an all-white audience about themes which aren't relevant to Hispanics.
That's what Matisyahu is like with his "reggae"
