i've just uploaded a better quality version of this but as it's had quite a few views and comments would feel guilty at just deleting this version (also a few more songs from that show)
I've got wonderful memories of the recordings we did with The Stupids at Treetop Avenue Studios with Andrew Fryer in Stutton, Suffolk - Elephant Man was the best of the lot (was that the one that brought the ceiling down in the bedroom below??) and I really enjoyed helping with the vocals on 'Lend Me Your Scarf'. But best was just watching the top of tommy's head as he drummed through the control room window - he looked just like Animal off the Muppets!
I was a founder member of this band back in the day,Dec 83/Jan 84 and saw them play in a club in a dodgy part of Bristol in late 87.The gig was great but I was just hoping that my brand new car was'nt going to get trashed while the Stupids thrashed through their numbers!Good to see former schoolmates Tommy and Eddy playing again,I admire the enthusiasm but would find it hard to get motivated without any remuneration.Punk rock and all its offshoots still remains the best sound around.
how was I a founder member? well, because i was one of the three original founding members and was later booted out in Sept 84! I later saw them play in Bristol 3 years later. Its not a claim to fame or anything(I do telly every week) but I dont know why people bother playing in small bands anymore.Theres no money in it and seems to be a lot of effort for nothing.I am going to see The Stupids on Dec 19th to see Tom and Edd as I havent seen them for years.
Just in case he never returns, I can confirm that Bealesy was in the original line-up, but he wasn't Wolfie or Marty, he was Ziggy. They populated my basement recording studio once or twice and made a tape called 'Fat Drunk and Stupid' in it.
I know, its probably poor form to comment on your own recording, just to let you know the lighting changed to fairly minimal at about 1.30 and for remainder of the set, and I've been playing with filters to make the darker footage (as predominant except in this track) clear in case you thought it was a bit bright and blury at the start!
great song !

Yeah, it's a 3-piece now and Tommy is singing most of it with Roscoe doing a bunch and Marty singing Backing Vocals.

Hey Tone Loc, Jr.:
From age 13-113--it's headbanging. We were in Phila. to see them live back in 1986 or '87. They never showed up--glad about that now, mangg.

As a man born to built to grind I grew up skating to the Stupids in the 80s and have to ask - are / were you Wolfie Retard or Marty Tuff then? :-)
