Awwwwwww, thanks a million! Every girl needs a little encouragement from time to time :) But you know what they say - "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" - so that makes you a beautiful soul!
I can't thank you enough!! You are a generous person. I am not very religious, but I will keep you in my prayers as you requested. And you know what they say, God listens to the prayers of sinners ! For now that will be my payment. I just started the circle of 5ths and I hope you will be able to finish that, PS thanks for all your tips!
Wow your a huge blessing.. i really love the way u teach.. Teachers like you need learning pianists.. i really like ur method.. wow u have a piano course in your head thats sooo awsome.. wow.. i hope you u find a way to share that method of learning..ima be praying for u
Thank you for your encouraging words! In answer to your question - I not only want to continue with the video lessons around the circle of 5ths until it is complete but I also have an entire piano course in my head that I want to share with the world - the reason I am having a hard time fulfilling this goal is that I teach students every day and night so it's so hard to find the time. Will you pray for me so I can make the videos for you!? :) Lots of Love, Diane
Wow u are a huge blessing.. i thank God i just ran with your videos, ur lessons are awsome.. i really like the workouts there are soo good... Teachers like you learnin pianist really need! you have the gift of teaching.. more lessons would be great but i read u have a busy schedule.. ill pray for u could post more.. God bless u..

I have been taking lessons for a few years. I have had four different private teachers, including the solfege method, and I still can't play. I never learned the circle of 5th's, and all the scales, we talked about it but no one has explained it to me before. I still feel kinda lost when I'm at the piano. I have learned more by watching your videos, I get it now. Thank you so much for explaining it. I hope you post more videos lessons soon.
I sure do wish I could teach you in person because I could see your learning style and it wouldn't be long until you could read music and play well! Yes, understanding the circle of 5ths gives you a real foundation for everything else at the piano! I hope to post more piano lesson videos -
I just started to self teach myself to play the piano, and your videos are just wonderful! Easy to follow and understand. I was sad to see that this is the last video so far in the series. Would there be more?
It looks like I didn't respond to your comment - I thought i did :) Anyway....thanks for watching and I'm so happy to hear that you find this info helpful! I do want to upload more piano lesson videos but finding the time is the challenging part! After we upload the videos we have in the line-up I will try to get to it for you!
Yes - that is a common thought - however there are 3 that are enharmonically the same: B is C flat, F# is G flat and C# is D flat :) It is necessary to know them all in order to pass performance exams and to play knowledgeably in all keys.
I make beats, and everytime i'm going for a solo i'm checking your vids to learn the scales. really handy, and i want you to know that a lot of people appreciate your videos! i hope one day you will get something back for this big favor your doing us noobs :)
It's so nice to hear from you and to know that I am helping a bit as you make beats! I hope your beats sell for thousands of dollars each and you make it to the big time (if you haven't already :)
I'm very happy to know that I am helping - that warms my heart! Please keep in touch and let me know how it's going for you!
Thanks for your kind words! We will resume lessons again next week when my secretary returns from vacation :) Until then I hope you enjoy Ryan's performances!
I'm so happy you find this interesting :) As I explain everything, I wish I could make it fun - but making scales and chords fun is not an easy task! lol Hopefully once we get around the full circle of 5ths we will have more fun with actual music! Thanks for your positive comments!!
If you don't play much piano, please stay with us until I get passed all the technical stuff and get into a true beginner piano course - that is where the fun will really begin!
I'm so happy you are enjoying the videos here! You are more than welcome! I hope you and your children keep coming back for more! Some day I hope to upload true beginner lessons - the next several lessons will be getting progressively more difficult but please stay with me until I get to the true beginner lessons, ok? Thanks for rating!
Ahhh, the old Em scale, a very interesting one indeed. ROFL at the cow with the teeth. I'm tellin' ya, your lessons are very good and entertaining, Diane. Muy Bien! (Need to keep up what little spanish I know)
Ah, Dear BocaFriend/Terry...... but there are actually *words* to Chopsticks! It's not exactly in my key.... but you know what? I think I will teach the words next time!!!! I was feeling guilty that I didn't teach the words already and reasoned with myself: aww...no one knows what I didn't do!......and then, your comment made me feel even guiltier! grrrrr.....see? if you haven't heard someone sing chopsticks, you just wait.... you are in for enlightenment at the highest level - haha
LOL. That's my job in life, I guess. To be the pricking pin of your conscience! Sorry for the unintentional jab over the lyrics! Since my other
job in life is to ease people's stress, let me quickly remind you that your vocal coaching of students precluded the singing of lyrics. You were too busy offering 'musical lamaze' to even have a thought for
actual lyrics. Since you mention it though, I'm agog for the next phase!! love, ~Terry your good/bad angel
Nice Diane! I am learning so much! Having learned to play by ear I was playing in some of these scales and not really understanding why....like relative minors n stuff. Thank you!!! Peeeeeeeeace!
