In answer to your question - I not only want to continue with the video lessons around the circle of 5ths until it is complete but I also have an entire piano course in my head that I want to share with the world - the reason I am having a hard time fulfilling this goal is that I teach students every day and night so it's so hard to find the time. I have been taking lessons for a few years. I have had four different private teachers, including the solfege method, and I still can't play. I never learned the circle of 5th's, and all the scales, we talked about it but no one has explained it to me before. I still feel kinda lost when I'm at the piano. I have learned more by watching your videos, I get it now. Thank you so much for explaining it. I hope you post more videos lessons soon.

i thought there were only 12 major scales...

Hi Bsblob,

Yes - that is a common thought - however there are 3 that are enharmonically the same: B is C flat, F# is G flat and C# is D flat :) It is necessary to know them all in order to pass performance exams and to play knowledgeably in all keys.
