Most likely, if you have a decent computer, it will come with a video card that has no less than 256MB of dedicated memory so you don't have to worry about that. All modern cards are DirectX 9 compliant and most if not all support Pixel Shader 1 and up.

The way to see what graphics card is in your computer is to go to:

Control Panel-> System-> Hardware Tab-> Device Manager-> Display Adapters

and see what's under there.

best part of this game is it is very easy to run, you can run it on a brand new computer of almsot anykind, graphics card or not and it will be outstanding. i can run it on a acer aspire netbook with no addons with 30-50 fps and no stutter or lag at all and all graphics set to almost max

You need to use Fraps. Play back the recording in RF, then use fraps to record your screen. That will creat a huge avi file that you will need to compress using something like windows movie maker to a smaller size.

If you buy it from Tower, you can get $25 off with one of their ad codes on their home page. It's the closest thing you'll find to a real rc plane. G4.5 physics are very realistic especially on the "advanced" setting. BTW, if you start out with the sim, you won't believe how well you'll fly your real rc plane.

That is some extremely GREAT flying man! I've got G4.5 and I after reading some of the comments, G4.5 is as good as it it gets to mimicking real life flying! Master the maneuvers of G4.5 then take what you've learned to the REAL flying field and impress you friends :) RF G4.5 is a "must have" for anyone that really wants to learn to fly pro in real life, it's just that good! and save you tons of money, lost planes, time, before I hit the real field, I always get warmed up with G4.5 first :)

The only down side to real flight is:

1-the engine sound doesn' t change as you do rolling harriers or rolling circles...

2. They didn't include a 150cc gas engine?? or a radial gas engine sound?

That 3w 120.... must be sure powerfull to be able to pull the 46lb python bipe like a rag doll!!

Otherwise, great practice.....

I had G4 before the update to G4.5 and the sound was perfect. I've never had any problems.

The "Standard 150cc" was added with G4.5.

hey im oddjobs friend can you tell me how to do a prop hang and i dont know what 3D rates because i have real flight g2 its kind of a bumer i know and can you tell me how to do a flat spin?

It's basically pulling into the wind at a low speed into 90 degrees. Use all control surfaces and throttle management. High alpha+all control surfaces=3D.

Flat Spin= Full right aileron and rudder+full up elevator (or left). The speed on the spin will depend on the throttle and the rudder and aileron deflections. Inverted is just the opposite with right aileron and left rudder and full down elevator.

Knife Edge Spin= Take the plane nice and high. Stall it and apply full down elevator on 3D rates. Simultaneously, add full left or right rudder while adding blips of throttle. Use the ailerons and sticks to your advantage. This will put the plane in a knife edge spin.

Well, why would you want an "easier" sim? You buy a sim to learn and if it's easy and doesn't mimick real flight characteristics, it's useless. 4.5 physics are a vast improvement over it's older versions. It is the most accurate in terms of airplane physics.

well when i fly are real edge 540 it pretty differnt compared to the yak 54 on the gen 3 its a lot unstabler but yes its good to have a harder sim makes you a better flyer but its not fun because i can do it on the real thing but not on the sim. well not as well. the point of the sim is to try things first and learn on there first.

I can assure you, that this is both fun and instructive. But, you can't compare two different airframes to each other, just saying. With 4.5, you have fun while you learn at the same time.
