his Hp isn\t "low" it's average. He has lower stun resistance because he's always playing defensively anyways. If it was higher he'd be impossible to dizzy. He doesn't do low damage, anyone who can watch a video will see you are lying. He can damage sagat quite abit with just light and medium punches. flashkick is more offensive than defensive

Oh, and sonic boom travelling slower is a good thing, as it can throw balrog off and applies pressure when you follow behind it. Not seeing how he's slow, could always block crossups, and counter low attacks with light flashkick which now counters low attacks. The guy in this video doesn't even fight back, infact most videos i've seen where Guile loses are because the player makes horrible mistakes.

Jab SB flies slower is a good thing, but Fierce SB flies slower is NOT. "Sonic" Boom, it's supposed to be fast, like in SF2. They should made the Fierce SB faster or at least keep it at same speed. Blocking crossups is no where near effective, you'll get thrown to death. Every other character has a way of countering crossups except Guile. And Fuson didnt go all out on Abel cuz of obvious reasons - Abel is faster, stronger, has more mixup options and can easily grab Guile like child's play.

Guile's HP is low when damage/mixup options/speed/attack priority are put into calculations, and cuz he lacks mixup options, crossup capability and no way of countering crossups, his stun resistance is ridiculously low. SB is the weakest projectile, FK is the weakest anti-air and on top of that they increased the recovery on all his moves. Even the jab SB recovery is still longer than in SF2.

Atm Guile just doesn't have any chance of coming back in a match after the opponent got in. So the thing they need to fix about him is either his ultra or his damage output. Either he does more damage with his specials and normals or he needs an ultra setup to be able to even out a match when he is in trouble.

I personally don't think he needs a better flash kick, except maybe shorten the moves' recovery.

Guile has been nerfed a lot due to many noobish complaints about him being overpowered and nearly invincible defense. And it feels like everyone's reach is a lot shorter. He never had that great a mixup.

Fuson is a professsional. The problem is that Guile is a lousy character now. Check Capcom's website. NOBODY representing the US is using Guile in the tourney. Some old school Guile users have petitions going around because he's been weakened so much that he can't be used at the highest levels. He's playing Guile the way he's supposed to be played, it just doesn't work because Capcom ruined him. No air defense, very little strength, no command throw, he's just too predictable and too weak.

I completely agree. I'm a Guile player, I always loved him since Street Fighter 2 where he was a beast. Now he's stripped completely. I don't want any new special moves, he's known as the man with 2 specials. But please, don't make Flash Kick a piece of crap, and give him an ultra thats useful for something more than picking your nose.

In all honesty Guile is Actually one of the best characters in SF history. If he is used turtle style, and his kicks dash forward, if used right defensively, he'll own anyone. I mainly use Ryu or Sagat, or Bison. But Guile has probably the best defence game. Blanka and E honda has the greatest counter game. But apart from that, everyone has their pro's and Cons. Dont slate the Guile user that badly. We was all noobs once. Just give him credit that he entered at least. He may come back stronger x

It doesn't do THAT much more damage.

SF has had a combo damage scaling system for a long time. Basically, every hit of a combo will do less than the previous did assuming they were all the same strength. This is to allow people to gain an advantage from learning combos, but stops them from being ridiculously powerful. Because Abel followed in with his special and canceled into the ultra, he didn't do as much damage with the ultra as the other time. Still beefy damage, though.

It isn't that Abel is crap, but mostly those are the only videos I've seen is of him in it. But you know I guess it makes sense you want to use the best character you're good with.Whenever I get a fighting game which probably goes for all of us just saying, I usually at least play ALL characters to get a feel of everyone.
