Kinda sad how a movie from the 80's could tell how the world works today. Big corporations with money make the decisions. Fuck the little people if they're in the way of profit.
@kimmolind I've long had the idea that nothing in the world has changed. Maybe just the scale and speed that it happens. The dirty, grimy stuff that movies and music comment on will always be relevant because it's written by people who have seen it. How they comment changes however, just like the scale which it all happens on. That's my take on it.
i love this, it is from robocop 2 by the way. The first one was better, one of my fav flicks of all time. I encourage everyone to watch the first one..... after all MGM is doing a remake. It better be gory as fuck... like the original, and it should be political as well... watch the original you will fall in love with it... The original robocop was rated X, Until they cut some of the gore for theaters. watch the directors cut, download utorrent, and then download it on the pirate bay!!its free
Man this really hits the spot. Considering the current frequent suicides of french office workers...guess 80´s cyberpunk fiction is already the reality of today
People in the office environment may appreciate good coffee, so it's never a good idea to skimp on it, such as using cheap coffee or, worse, re-using grounds.
It's commentary about how a huge, far-reaching corporation, where it has no limits or ethics in any way, not even from competition, could attempt to manipulate people like this. Of course, this is taken to a huge extreme, but then again, in the RoboCop universe, OCP was an extreme corporation trying to essentially destroy Detroit for New Delta City.
Perhaps you should read about "Omni Consumer Products" on Wikipedia to understand the commentary.

oh well bully for them,if cheap stuff aint good enough then they can swivel,i prefer a good cup of tea anaways
cripplewoox 3 years ago
That's perfectly fine if you like tea, but just because you prefer tea does not mean others share your preferences.
And providing for reasonable comfort of your workforce can tremendously aid in their productivity.
Of course, you shouldn't go overboard in that regard, but at the same time you shouldn't be a cheapskate and take too much away from it as well.
